We were within 10-15 minutes to most of what we wanted to see. (Smithsonian, Washington Monument, etc.). There is also a bus tour stop just one block up from our Hotel so we spent one day just touring everything with Big B Bus tours. There are cabs right outside to take you anywhere and the metro is right underneath the hotel so you can travel with them as well. There was many food court options in the mall next to the hotel and under the hotel. The place was secure and you could only get to your floor with your hotel key. I would definitely give our stay a 5 star.

The hotel was the perfect location for an overnight trip to DC. Walking distance to the Wharf, Spy museum and The National Mall. I would stay here again.

I am a seasoned world traveler and Hilton member. This property was very vexing: while it is in a good location, close enough to the wharf and mall for a moderate walk, GPS ceases to work around the hotel and the only entrance is not easily accessible despite the hotel being above a Metro stop. The hotel technically is within walking range of attractions, but in reality it is much more difficult to do so. If using GPS, one must use 490 instead of the 480 on the hotel, or use the address for the Spy Museum in order for GPS to get you to the lobby. I favor mass transit when visiting cities and the location at L’Enfant Plaza was a factor in choosing this site. However, the elevator access from the Metro to the lobby was closed at random times, with no notice beforehand. At night, this was problematic because one cannot easily navigate to the upper level of the lobby due to the GPS problem. My traveling companion has mobility issues which heightened this problem even more. Climbing flights of stairs at night because the only elevator access was closed randomly at 8 pm is a liability. Simple signage by the elevator would eliminate this problem. Finally, there really is no selection of dining in the hotel. One Starbucks and bar/restaurant seems insufficient considering the price of accommodations at this site.

Fantastic hotel in D.C.
Location is unbeatable. 8 min walk to National Mall, 3 minute walk to Metro, 10 minute walk to The Wharf, waterfront area with numerous restaurants. Lorena, hotel receptionist, was supremely helpful and pleasant.

Not recommended at all. Location was 10 minutes walk from The Wharf or National Mall, but the write up made it seem like they were right in the middle Of both. Had faulty door locks that would not allow us in our room. Apparently it happened on other rooms, and the repair people were working on other rooms. We had to wait hours to get into our room. They offered a free breakfast when they also knew we were checking and flying out too early to use it. Add that the limited bar menu was way overpriced - Hilton is off our list. The brand has slipped badly.

Great Location
Fabulous location! Room was clean and modern. Very walkable to Mall, wharf We never used the metro but it is very close. Staff was very friendly but not very knowledgeable and there is no concierge which is the main reason for 4 stars. Breakfast is soso and overpriced. There is an Starbucks in the lobby that to me was a better option. Also there is a balcony but door is sealed so it is not accessible. I would definitely stay here again!
