The only staff we encountered were at the door and front desk but all were kind and courteous at all times. The restaurant is being remodeled but State supplied coffee and bakery items and fruit and juice instead. Perfect! Seems the rooms were also recently remodeled. The room was wonderful! Nice and clean and spacious. Beds were comfy, we slept great! The hot water was HOT quick and the room was pretty quiet. We happened to get a kitchenette, didn't expect it, and it would be perfect for longer stays. Location - we saw the Washington Monument out our window! So we knew the tourist spots were close - 1/2 mile away. Easily walkable. All in all, a wonderful visit and we hope to return and stay at this hotel again.

Rooms are spacious and clean, the Lindt suite has a kitchen and space to relax and work. All walkable to tourist sites and good restaurants. Check-in was a bit challenging w an Expedia issue, and I will say the breakfast was disappointing, mini muffins and coffee do not replace the restaurant being closed. It is also a bit disruptive to hear every door close on your hall, and I mean every. But the rooms are nice and it’s affordable. So there is a balance

The a/c only blows hot air during this season. Parking is $40 per day you stay. The breakfast was terrible, there aren't any real ameneties in the hotel other than the suite. Does have a nice kitchen, stove, fridge, if you need those things. Food around the area is so-so, better to walk 15-20 minutes to better options. Close to the national mall bht because of the cost of the parking I chose to move my car to the JFK parking garage (which is a closer walk and half the price for just as secure). I don't know who this hotel is for. For the people wanting to stay a long time, it is too expensive, for those staying a short time there are better more convenient options elsewhere that are just as close to things. The staff is nice, and the building is clean, but that should just be true anywhere you go and doesn't win any stars.

great location, quiet. Loved the spaciousness in the room and that the bathroom bedroom and kitchen were separate. The bed was comfy. I was a bit disappointed about the dining and gym being closed for repair. I normally choose a hotel with gym for a quick daily work out and would have loved to be able to have a quite bite to eat before heading out for the day. Staff is great and very friendly. All in all, I will likely stay again!

Very nice hotel. Extremely clean and all the staff was so kind. I was shocked when we arrived to find a kitchen in our room with a full fridge. I didn’t even realize! It is about 8-10 min walk to the Foggy Bottom metro stop. Very safe area. My only complaint was it did get warm in the rooms with no alternative. The hotel is all on one air unit.

The room seemed very clean, and the room was huge with a lovely kitchenette. (Not sure if all come with that.) The staff went above and beyond to address problems. The manager even called to discuss a concern of mine. The location is superb if you're doing events at the Kennedy Center and GWU.

It was a big and comfortable room, very clean. The staff was very kindly and helped us when we ask them. This hotel stays un the Washington University quarter, then surrounding are a lot of gardens, is very green. Also closely are a supermarket were we bought food to eat it in our room, where we had a kitchenet provided with the whole cutlery needed and a table and chairs. The hotel is situated close to the White house, Roosevelt Memorial , Museums and Public Buildings an Parks, either, to the Potomac river.

The hotel and staff were outstanding in every way. Room was very spacious with a full kitchen and very comfortable beds. Staff was superb. Very attentive and helpful. Location was perfect for access to the Metro line, National Mall, and several eateries. Beautiful walkable area on the edge of Washington University. Felt very safe inside and outside the hotel. Would highly recommend.
