I have no complaints about this hotel at all. I’m just sad I didn’t get to try the bar and restaurant that they have downstairs but I will next time! Every staff member was so friendly. From the gentleman at the door, to the front desk, everyone was so sweet and pleasant. Our room was very clean and we had a lot of space which I loved. I’ll definitely be coming back here when I visit DC.

The front desk was very welcoming. I was checked in quickly. The valet service was excellent and so helpful. Wish the pool stayed open later then 8pm. But this is my 2nd time staying at the hotel. And it is honestly my go-too. It’s in the middle of everything. I love it

Overall Good stay at a reasonable price in DC
The room was huge. The bed was comfortable. The front desk service was excellent. They provided complimentary water and replenished in the room daily. Maid service happened daily without having to request it. I did have an issue with the TV not working the first day. They said their engineering dept. had to reset it. The shower faucet in the bathroom was falling apart, but it still worked. The property is on the older side, but I would stay here again. There are a number of food options in the area. There is a metro station a couple of blocks away. I rode the train from the airport to the hotel and back which was an easy process.

The location was excellent and very convenient. The staff were friendly and great to deal with. The rooms were spacious and the staff friendly. My only criticism would be that the bathrooms were a bit outdated, and in my example the tub had a really slow drain.

I traveled with my son for his 21st birthday and this was my first day at a Royal Sonesta. I had asked in advance for the front desk to help me by hanging a 21st birthday sign as a surprise once I got to the front desk, they were so sweet to take my wrapped banner, and do their best to place it in our room. the front desk staff were amazing and professional. Our room was really generous sized and comfortable. We enjoyed the small gym and took advantage of the lobby bar to catch up on the Olympics. A special mention to Shamar, Carla & Elsadig. Being our first time staying at a Royal Sonesta, and feeling so well taken care of and impressed by the property and front desk staff, we will return.
