I recently stayed at La Quinta Inn in Pittsburgh, and I can’t say I was impressed. The door to our room didn’t shut properly, so we had to force it closed each time, which wasn’t very secure. The closet door was broken, and there was no safe to store our valuables. To top it off, there was a strange, unpleasant smell throughout the room and hallways which made the experience even worse. While 1 staff member were friendly, others at the front desk seemed uninterested and unhelpful. I’m giving two stars, but honestly, the stay was pretty disappointing overall. Stay in downtown if possible!

Room and hotel fine, however, free airport shuttle not at all reliable. Shuttle is run by a neighbouring car parking company which makes booking rather haphazard. We booked a shuttle for an 08:30 pick-up. We were told the bus would come from the parking company's lot across the highway to pick us up. We watched as it drove out of the lot and away down the road to the airport without us. The hotel reception told us we would have to wait for the next bus at 09:00 as the parking company driver had forgotten or didn't know to pick us up.

I ask her for help on the hotel computer, I need to type up a contract and she was very abruptly pointed to something taped on the side of the computer that was the password to get on the machine

Very good for an airport hotel, especially nicenice and very helpful staff. Shuttle service was a huge help. Cleaning was excellent, had a couple maintenance issues though... Slow drains, charging station by desk did not work. No fridge in room, microwave only available in breakfast area. Coffee not as bad as airline coffee but not great. Coffee and tea available anytime though which is nice.Hot breakfast ready starting early enough (4:30) for people with AM flights, with fresh plums, oranges, and apples a nice plus though. All around a good value for an airport hotel.
