Staggering Mountain Views + Luxurious Amenities + Game Room

Dancing Bear Lodge is a five Bedroom, three and a half Bathroom Luxurious Cabin with the absolute best, layered mountain views that you can experience in the Smokies. You will be only minutes to Bryson City, Cherokee, Maggie Valley, and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park as well as 44 miles to Gatlinburg and one hour from Asheville.

The first thing you will notice when you pull into our covered parking is what caused us to fall in love with Dancing Bear Lodge… The absolutely stunning views. They are truly the best we have ever seen. You feel at peace when you sit on the porch or in the hot tub and stare out at the mountain views as you hear the river in the valley and the birds in the trees. It's what made us fall for Dancing Bear Lodge when we first visited.

As you venture inside, you will be impressed with the attention to detail. We did our very best to think of everything you may want when staying with us. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to cook a meal for your family and guests. Coffee lovers will absolutely love staying with us (You may experience a little bit of coffee envy about the coffee bar, be warned!). You will find two different whole bean coffees with a coffee grinder to grind them to your specifications. Then you will notice the french press, a regular coffee pot, a Keurig machine, and my personal favorite.. a Nespresso machine for excellent coffees and espresso shots! After you brew your coffee you can prepare it however you like best. We stock four different syrups, three types of creamer, sugar in the raw, equal, splenda, and honey sticks to make your coffee even better than at home!

After passing through the kitchen and dining room you can venture down the hallway to the two top floor Owner's Suites. They each have King size beds and their own bathrooms. You'll enjoy the spa sheets and our favorite quilt sets on each bed as well as the great views from the bedrooms.

Downstairs from the main living room, you'll find a striking two-story game room. The game room has a pool table, a full-sized arcade-style basketball game, a large poker table(with eight barstools), two arcade cabinets and our second living room adorned with a stone fireplace. Around the corner of the breakfast bar you will find an eat-in kitchen as well as the door leading to the lower porch with the hot tub. Down the hall from the eat-in kitchen, you will find the two downstairs bedrooms. One features a third king bed and the other features a queen bed, which share a spacious and private full bathroom.

The "Bear's Den" (5'6" ceiling height) is tucked away halfway up the staircase and includes one queen bed and two twin beds. This room is perfect for the kids in the group or for extra beds for any other guests. It is setup with a kids teepee, a chalkboard, plenty of books and games to play with, as well as a TV with a Roku to stream their favorite channels.

Outside, enjoy the view stars and roast marshmallows in the large fire pit. You'll love the feeling of privacy while still feeling close enough to others to feel safe while staying at Dancing Bear Lodge.
Make yourself comfortable in this air-conditioned cabin, which features a fireplace and a Smart TV. There's a private balcony. A kitchen is outfitted with a refrigerator, an oven, and a stovetop. Complimentary wireless internet access keeps you connected, and a DVD player is provided for your entertainment.
Enjoy recreation amenities such as a spa tub or take in the view from a garden. Additional amenities at this cabin include an arcade/game room and barbecue grills.
Guests will find features like internet access.

Great Cabin! Great Location!
Dancing Bear Lodge was a perfect place to host a group of fly fishing friends! Plenty of bedrooms and private space for adults. Amazing amenities—the game room and pool table especially. The cabin was spotless; the kitchen was well-stocked; and the dining table was wonderful for meals and conversation. We all enjoyed the view from the porch. Alex, the host, was fantastic—easy to contact and quick to reply! The location is perfect for folks who want to visit Bryson City, the Nantahala, Cherokee, or the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Book this property—you’ll love it.

Spring Break with family and friends
We booked this cabin for a Spring Break trip with family and friends. The house had plenty of room and plenty of things to keep us entertained. Very easy to get to and close enough to everything. The house was very clean and exactly like the description. Alex was very quickly to respond before we arrived and stayed in communication with us the whole time. We would definitely stay at this cabin again!

Fantastic!!
Great house with all of the amenities you may need. The coffee bar was exceptional, and the host(s) were very helpful and quick to respond to our needs. Further, our six kids, aged 7-17, loved the basement and the bears den was really cool!! We plan on staying here if we’re in the Bryson City area again.

Quick Getaway
We had a quick family getaway at this lovely house equipped with everything you need to have a great experience. It's close to the south entrance to the Smokey's and within minutes of groceries and restaurants. The house is exactly as describe in the listing. The accommodations are comfortable and relaxing. The hot tub wand grill were in good condition, and the fire place was easy to use (note: please check the firewood supply as we had to get our own). The kitchen had everything you need and the coffee bar will appeal to those who love coffee and the variations thereof. Good communication with the host and overall a great stay.

Excellent home for the whole family
My family and I loved staying at Dancing Bear Lodge. We loved the location of the home and the views are amazing. The rooms and bathrooms were exactly as described and the kitchen was well stocked with everything you could possibly need. Everyone enjoyed the game room and the fire pit was a huge hit. Those were our 2 favorite spots. The fire pit is easy to get to and there was even firewood for us in the box. We loved that the hosts had Christmas Trees up on each floor as well! We stayed at this home during a visit to ride The Polar Express during Christmas time. It’s very convenient to the train depot as well. We will definitely be back to this home. We enjoyed our stay very much!

Grandma, Papa and kids
Our stay was awesome! The lodge provided all the space and privacy needed for babies to sleep, and grown ups too! The older kids had a blast with the basketball game and the arcade games. we all enjoyed the pool table! We had meals together at the huge dining table. We all loved having our own bathrooms connected to our bedrooms. It was easy for grandma and papa to get in and out of the house from the carport or the downstairs entrance. The hot tub was a huge hit with all of us! The mattress on our bed slept so well! We will book here again! Thank you for the delicious, complimentary coffee, teas, and hot chocolate.

We had an excellent stay in your house. The amenities were great. We had twelve family members including 5 boys(ages 7,5,4,3,2). The trip was planned to take the boys on the Polar Express. This house was in a great location in close proximity to Bryson City! The owner answered a couple of check-in questions very quickly. It was a great experience.

5 Star Experience!
First off, the owner (Alex) is so responsive and helpful. Not just with the home itself, but things to do and the area. The location of the home isn’t difficult to get to, it’s not far from the highway, or major cities for exploring. The home was superior - the coffee bar was my favorite and we enjoyed the game room as well. Was a family vacation to remember and a beautiful stay!

Family rendezvous
We are an extended family of 10 Including 4 grandchildren We had some initial blips at the home but the owner answered immediately to fix our concerns There were plenty of comfortable bedrooms with the kids taking over downstairs Very quiet with wonderful views of the mountains We used the hot tub and the outdoor fire pit which were wonderful It was close enough to Bryson city to enjoy Deep Creek, train and the Cherokee outdoor drama My only issue was the need for some folding chairs so all 10 of us could eat at the large dining room table Checking out was much easier then other VRBO homes that had very rigorous clean up procedures We highly recommend this home Great time was had by all

Great stay
Communication was great. Nice location and central to two great rivers for white water rafting. House has a couple of great porches on the edge of a hillside with a huge hot tub that was hot upon arrival. The whole house is well appointed and great space up and down for entertaining. We had our extended family and was perfect for poker, darts, pool, arcade games etc. Everyone always had an option to keep busy. Two good coffee machines and microwaves up and down. Wry convenient to have large washer an dryer after a day in the river. The fire pit is large and stocked with wood, so we enjoyed that every morning and evening. We had two dogs with and it’s comfortable with them since it’s on a road where we saw no other cars. Owners were very responsive if we needed more of anything and frisky did a nice job with decor and keeping things up for guests. Highly recommend the property to larger families.

Exactly what we needed.
House was amazing. Everything you would need. We only had 6 in our stay from age 8 to 82 but it could have easily accommodated double that. On most trips we are all about exploring the area. We did rafting and zip lining plus explored some more areas. I actually found myself wishing we had more time to spend at the house to enjoy everything. The kids loved the pool table and hot tub and so did the adults. I’m a early morning person and was always up first. Sitting on the porch looking at that amazing view was a great way to start the day. I could go on and on about this house. just rent it you won’t be disappointed.
