Liked: Staff & service
We stayed at the Prince Rupert for six nights. The rooms are nice if a bit tired. However, the newly refurbished bathrooms have a tap and sink arrangement that doesn't work at all making even simple hand washing annoyingly awkward. The water pressure in the shower is poor too. The breakfast is good, and the staff could not be nicer or more helpful and the hotel's location is beautiful and handy for everything in Shrewsbury. We would return, but sort the sink and taps, please.
Lovely staff, good public areas, breakfast room etc
My room was small with nowhere to open a case...
Book directly, Expedia took an enormous commission
Fabulous restaurant Room was ok. Some areas looking like needing some attention but expect they are working their way through Communal areas very tidy and fresh. Great location. I would advise parking on outside edge of town as. Nightmare one way system Only 20 mins to walk across the town.
I would like to say thank you to all the staff, we had a lovely stay.
From the moment you walked in the staff where very welcoming and very helpful.
Our room was great.
I would like to say thank you to the lovely lady who served us, she was bubbly and very helpful.
Thank you again
The hotel car park at weekends, 1000 to 1600, is not easy to find /use because the council shuts roads in the area,
Friday and Saturday nights the local bars are busy and one has a music licence. It is noisy but quietens down around 2300
Our room was a good size but the bathroom was very small and needed some additional cleaning. Some hooks in th e room and bathroom would be useful
The hotel is inn a great position to explore this lovely town. Staff are friendly and helpful
.
Shrewsbury is a medieval built town. Subsequently buildings are close together and this can cause noise problems. The hotel is across the street and next door to public houses. A very minor criticism. It did not in anyway prevent me from several nice sleeps.
I love the history of the building. I love it's location, close to St. Alkmund's church. The Bears Steps and Civic Society close by. I love the proximity of the shops, bus and train station.
