This boutique hotel is lovely, though it’s a bit overhyped on TikTok. The staff is warm and friendly, but the rooms could use a more thorough cleaning. Overall, I’d still stay here again if I return to Curaçao.

The property is a cute boutique hotel with a lively staff. The rooms/suites are spacious and comfortable with a great view of the ocean. There were plumbing issues, low water pressure and our toilet did not flush well. Even after the repairs, the toilet did not flush completely and there was an awful stench that lingered from the plumbing system. There isn't an elevator and the staircase is spiraled, so its recommended to be fit to tackle the stairs daily. The bar restaurant was lively each day. The cocktails were delish and the food was excellent, breakfast, lunch and dinner. The pool honestly is what makes this property special. The pool was heated and backs up to the ocean giving the illusion of an infinity pool and it was quite relaxing. The location is ideal because it is walking distance to the touristy area, but you could also mingle with the locals along the way, which is what we did. I would like to give a special thanks to a few of the staff members who made our trip memorable: Nathan, Thee Tender of the Bar (I couldn't simply could diminish his position as a regular bartender), was awesome. He was so informative and gave us such great suggestions for the area. Nathan made us feel like family and we missed him when he wasn't there. Rodrick was another rock star tender/server. He ensured that our glasses and bellies were full and did so with a huge smile. Kim was our server for breakfast each morning and she was also very sweet.

Based on reviews and the recommendations of friends who have visited, I really wanted to like this place but my wife and I were both very dissatisfied. For one, the room was not ready upon arrival and we arrived around 3PM. The hotel was kind enough, however to bring our luggage up as there is no elevator and they have us a few vouchers for free cocktails, so far not bad. The real problem began when we went to our room. Upon initial presentation, the room looked fine. But within a few hours of being in the room, we noticed the room smelled of mildew. The bathroom smelled of mothballs which makes sense since there was a moth ball in the sink. There was also a mosquito which perhaps is a coincidence. Overall, the room as well as the building the room was in had a foul odor that seemed to be masked with air fresheners. Cleanliness just doesn’t seem to have been a priority. Another strange thing was the toilet seat was too small for the toilet. I recognize this is a boutique hotel but having stayed at other boutique hotels and even budget hotels, I was genuinely taken aback by the poor condition of the hotel and room.

Hotel itself was good although no direct beach access and surrounding area is under construction. There is no elevator so getting bags up spiral stairs can be dicey. Staff was very helpful. Food was very good at breakfast. Nice pool area to relax. Friday nights are the vibe with Happy Hour. Two things: odd smell in room (dissipates )believe related to water as noticed same smell at Jan Theil beach property. Also, friend charged $3.50 for hot water at breakfast. Should have been disclosed.
