The smell of the rooms screamed old and musty, with bleach spread around to try and distract your nose. The first room we were given was even worse because the extra bleach was trying to cover the pungent odor of puke. Rooms Looking like they are from colonial times is one thing, but they shouldn’t smell like it. I can’t imagine anyone giving this place higher than 2. I feel misled by the ratings posted by Orbitz. Do not stay here.

November 2024 family vacation
This was the perfect stay for our weekend vacation: Colonial Williamsburg. I can’t tell you how happy I was to be able to roll out of bed, then the Visitor’s Center be right there. The beds were comfy and the breakfast was amazing. We found a great deal on Woodlands when compared to other hotels in the area – and plan to return after Christmas.

Breakfast was hot and fresh every morning, the room was exceptionally clean, and parking was abundant. Check in and out was very quick and easy! This property was great other than the pillows. Strongly suggest you bring your own as these are probably the worst pillows we’ve ever tried to use.

The reservations stated I had one king size bed, which was fine and a queen size pullout couch. When my son pulled out the couch, it was disgusting dirty with crackers and food. He had to end up sleeping very uncomfortably on the top of the couch is 6 foot four 200 pounds very uncomfortable.
