I looked forward to my stay with my family at the Hampton Inn. Within the first hour of arrival, the drain of the bathroom malfunctioned, they moved us to alternate room with a smaller mini fridge. I drove with my husband from the North East with my 3 kids all under the age of ten for the ARK encounter. I requested for a minibfridge that was in our original room -it was slightly bigger than the one in the subsequent room.
Two days later, no one reached out to me to let me know if my request could be granted or not. I went to the front desk, to ask again. The attendant wrote it down on her sticky note and again told me the manager will reach out to me. On the 3rd morning of my stay, I went back and was told by the same attendant that she does not recall what I spoke to her about the day before.
After inisting on speaking to about the manager, Sandra, told me she she has been in meetings for a couple days and she was not sure why the attendants did not approve the minifrdge switch. She also states no one notified her of a room switch.
Sandra, mentioned she would reach out to me about the room switch if I was eligible for a discount or points. I gave her my cell phone number, I was never called until I checked out.
On the 3rd day, the minifridge was switched.
4th day, at checkout, the attendant (Nancy), who also checked me in, told me she did tell Sandra of the room switch.
It has been dissapointng experience with dysfunctional communication, and lack of accountability :(
