Holidays in Williamstown

Yep. We hear ya. Wanderlust — it gets right into your bones. So, isn't it about time you organised your next adventure? Williamstown awaits!

The country's capital, Canberra, lies around 930 kilometres to the east of Williamstown.

Holidays are about having fun, so why not start yours off on the right foot at the TeAro Estate Tasting Room?

How about collecting seashells and relaxing with the beautiful ocean as your backdrop? West Beach is 50 kilometres away from Williamstown. Sitting 45 kilometres away, Henley Beach is another excellent option.

Breathe in the fresh air and soak up the natural surroundings of Belair National Park. It's situated 45 kilometres away from Williamstown. You can also find more peace and quiet at Barossa Visitor Centre, 17 kilometres away.

Don't forget to pack some blue, red and yellow clothing so you can cheer on the Australian rules football (AFL) team, the Adelaide FC, at Adelaide Oval. Located 40 kilometres away in Adelaide Hills Council, the venue is also the home ground of the Port Adelaide FC.

There's even more just down the road. Mount Crawford, 5 kilometres to the east, is popular for Warren Conservation Park and the God's Hill Wines. Alternatively, if Barossa Chateau and Para Wirra Recreation Park are more your thing, travel 7 kilometres northwest from Williamstown to Cockatoo Valley.

The Charles Melton, the Jacob's Creek Vineyards and the Tanunda Pines Golf Club are all quite close to Rowland Flat, 11 kilometres to the north. Want a few more reasons to call in? The St Hallett and the Rockford Wines are not far away either.

There is no better way to experience a destination than to literally take a bite out of it! You're invited to discover the culture, history and personality of Barossa Valley by trying some of its most tantalizing food and drink.

Do you enjoy beef? What about dairy products? Whether you're wild about them or not, they are two essential ingredients commonly found in the cuisine here.

There's always a local plate or two that you need to sample, and when you're in Williamstown, salt and pepper squid is among them. Meat pie is another regional specialty that you'll want to keep an eye out for.

'Stressed' spelled backwards is 'desserts', and we don't believe in coincidences. There's no better way to let your concerns melt away than with peach melba, a treat often found on dining tables here.

Good news, beer freaks. You'll be able to find some satisfying brews to toss back here. Enjoy a glass of Southwark Premium in a nice bar and don't forget to text your loved ones back at home, 'Wish you were beer'.

Bundaberg Spiced Rum is the number one spirit for many locals. Throw down a shot or two to get the party started!

Start your evening the right way with a glass of a local wine like Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon or Riverina Chardonnay. Taste for balance, structure and texture, or simply have a bottle with your mates.

When it's time to take to the skies, allow yourself plenty of time to head to Adelaide Airport (ADL). Located 45 kilometres to the southwest from the centre of Williamstown, this is the closest terminal.

"The room was clean and tidy. A recent refurbishment has updated the room nicely. Very comfortable bed. Very good lighting and power points in useful places. Undercover parking right next to each room a bonus. One thing could be improved - the two chairs in the room"
