We stay weekly for work and several rooms have not had working heaters. We like the staff and location, just with stuff would get fixed.

Room generally was good but carpets dirty and not vacuumed. I misplaced my room card and while looking i discovered pretzel crumbs under the mattress. Not acceptable. Places along sidewalks, obscured by darkness, were icy causing me to fall. At the price charged, not impressed. I and my family have stayed in this property for decades. Maybe not again?

Clean quiet hotel
We hesitated when making this reservation as we usually stay at national chain hotels with a quality standard. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality and cleanliness of this hotel. The front desk staff when we checked in was exceptionally friendly and helpful After unpacking our suitcases and getting settled in the room we discovered the TV had no sound. She came to the room to see if she could help since maintenance was not available. We ended up moving rooms but she put us in the room next door so it was an easy switch. We were on the first floor and pleasantly surprised that when we got up in the morning, most of the pickup trucks in the parking lot outside our window were gone but we never heard car doors or diesel engines so the windows must be well insulated. When we checked out, the front desk person seemed put out that I asked for a printed receipt. She never smiled or even asked if our stay went well.

We were on foot, having arrived in a taxi from the train. We are both 75 and were sent to a room outside and apart from the hotel, on the second floor with no elevator. I almost fell with my bag going up the stairs. No one was available to help us. Even though the hotel lobby was warm and lovely, our room was very sparse and mediocre. It was a bit of a disappointment.
