Excellent choice of accommodation. Within walking discharge of the lake, bars and restaurants. Lovely room with tea and coffee facilities. Hair dryer and towels for use. Easy access via the key pads and excellent communication from the hosts.

The Latimer House
Our stay for 3 nights was comfortable. Check in and booking was easy. Room 4 was clean and nicely decorated; perhaps a little small if you were staying longer. Location is good and parking on site available. Good links to local buses and boats with many local restaurants on hand. A good base.

We stayed at the cottage house which is outside the main building. It was very spacious and has an indoor jacuzzi tub which is why we booked it. The hot water is pre-heated, so it was just enough to fill the tub. There won’t be hot water after if you wanted a shower. Also, an important downside for us was the wifi signal is so weak that neither our phone nor laptops could pick any signal. Was a bit disappointed in that regard as the hotel is aware of the problem but made no effort to fix it. Close proximity to shops and the lake though!

Nice stay
Good hotel in the heart of Bowness, self check in was straightforward with no issues, clean comfortable room, the only downside was there wasn't an iron in the room as some of our clothes got creased on the journey, it would have been an idea to put one in with nobody on site to ask for one, would definitely stay again but pop an iron in the car just in case now we know

Home from home
Two nights stay. Room was excellent spacious and comfortable, would have been nice to have a refreshed tea and coffee daily although plenty of tea and coffee. A couple of hooks to hang towels as they were not changed daily. But minor based on location size warmth and comfort.
