This was the worst hotel stay I’ve ever experienced. We booked two rooms for the weekend and completed all the registration paperwork in the morning. Although my room wasn’t ready for check-in at that time, I saw that a room had been allocated to us on the paperwork. We informed the receptionist that we’d check in later and left for some sightseeing.
My friend arrived about half an hour after us, and they were able to check in and get their room key immediately. After finishing the paperwork, we headed out for the day.
When we returned to the hotel after dinner, I discovered that my room had been changed. The air conditioner wasn’t working in the middle of a hot summer day, and a fan had been placed in the room instead. It felt like another guest had been given our original room, found the air conditioning unsatisfactory, and our rooms were swapped as a result.
To make matters worse, when my friend, who already had their key, tried to settle into their room, they found another guest’s belongings inside. The soundproofing was also terrible. We were placed in a connecting room, and we could clearly hear noise from the adjoining room, even at 1 a.m.
The receptionist told us we would received follow up contact, but 4 days gone. No email received at all.
Overall, this was an extremely disappointing experience
