Are you looking for a relaxed family vacation without the distractions of your normal day to day life? “Spalt” may be the perfect solution for your next family getaway! This unit is all about getting back to the basics and really spending quality time with family without the constant pull of technology.

This second-floor condo located in a privately owned tri-plex features a large deck overlooking the sand and is only steps from the beach. Although there is a basic cable provided, the TV and internet services are purposely limited to help guests leave behind the stress that comes with constantly being plugged into society. This traditional style cottage has hardwood floors and cozy décor without all the frills and clutter so you and your family can get back to the basics.

The large ocean front deck is great for relaxing or outdoor dining as it has a full-sized picnic table, rocking chairs, and the constant melody of the waves crashing in the background. The location itself is quiet yet only a few blocks from restaurants and coffee shops, you will be able to unwind with friends and family or take a short walk to the center of town.

While this is an older home the kitchen and furnishings are comfortable, functional, and the open concept living area makes for a wonderful gathering space that has helped families reconnect and make lifelong memories for generations. The large indoor dining area is perfect for board games, puzzles, or just kicking back while waiting for a home cooked meal and enjoying the ocean view. With three bedrooms, two baths, and plenty of outdoor space, this condo is perfect for small families looking for a traditional ocean front beach vacation while also being easy on the wallet.

Great location
We had a lovely stay here. We came to do college tours and started our trip early. We came on the tails of hurricane Helene from Asheville. This was a lovely vacation and beautiful spot. Thank you!

First renters of the season
Within a few minutes of getting here, it was somewhat obvious that we were the first renters for the year. Construction had just finished from the nails that the crew decided to leave in the parking lot area (the guy from Bryant did get a magnet and run it around to clean up after the crew. I don't feel like this is a reflection of Bryant as they shouldn't have to babysit construction crews. Screens were out of a few of the windows but wasn't all that bad, probably more renovations planned. The few pieces of small dead insects on the beds were what clued me in to the place staying without renters for a few months. We rented this place out of season and because of that, I forgave a lot of what I found due to them allowing us to interrupt the renovations to stay there. I very much recommend the place as being right on the water was amazing for views, access and relaxing to the sound. Once they finish renovating and are back in the swing of things, I'm sure the property will be consistently kept in great condition. I'm not the biggest fan of salt water but staying here still had me imagining how great it would be to own a property next to the ocean.

Ants Everywhere
Upon arriving we immediately noticed tons of ants in the kitchen and living room. We observed ant traps on the floors, so they were already aware of the problem. We immediately made management aware of the issue and they did send someone out to spray, but it did not help at all. We could not bring in any food to the unit and canceled our stay and left early due to the ants. We even sent them videos of how bad it was. I asked for a refund of one night plus 20% off the 2 nights we actually stayed. All they provided was a $50 refund. Beware. The pics look great, but it's not a good place to stay. The unit also had a lot of clutter and junk everywhere.

Overall I would rate the stay a 3 because every tv in the bedrooms were controlled by the one in the living room and we killed some roaches during our stay.

Last day.
We had to leave one day early, we got up early and there were two huge cockroaches in the beach house. It was the most disgusting thing ever. We also had to put up w ants in the bathroom and the kitchen sink all week. Thank goodness the weather was mostly nice the whole time so we could spend time outside.

Rusty Deck Be Careful
Contacted management but its not been almost two weeks and they have still not contacted me back -we did Not have hot water for 3 days. -most of the light bulbs were dead in the house. - water pressure is very poor. -the paths and gardens in the back are over grown and scratch you up if you want to walk to the beach. -there are rusty old nails all over the deck and and with the age of the nails it’s just going to continue to get worse. It is very dangerous. -I had two people step on these rusty nail heads and cut there feet.
