Casa Ombu is a fabulous five star villa is set in an exclusive area of Playa Blanca offering privacy, tranquillity alongside luxury features such as 10meter heated swimming pool, new Hotsprings hot tub, pool & ping pong tables, fast fibre-optic broadband/Wi-Fi, PlayStation, Gym equipment, double sun loungers, BBQ, all UK & EuropeanTV including Sports & Movies, Netflix etc.
It is located just 5 minutes drive from the village, beaches and three minutes from Marina Rubicon. The Villa offers panoramic views across the sea to Fuerteventura to the front and the magnificence of the volcanic mountains behind, this villa has the wow factor and provides an exceptional holiday venue.
This is our second home which is very rarely rented. Hence the very few reviews.
It is decorated and equiped to a very high standard. Every amenity and appliance you may wish for you should find in Casa Ombu. So, its not at all like the normal villa rental.
6 bedrooms sleeping up to 12 people & 4 bathrooms and 2 large living rooms.
Fast Fibre-Optic broadband/WIFI feeds the 65 inch OLED 4K Smart television which offers all the international, Irish/English/German/French/Italian stations including Sky/TNT sport and movies, Netflix and Playstation. The system also boasts a seven speaker surround sound which can be used for watching television or to play your music via Bluetooth.
The living room has 6 French doors which fold back giving access to a covered terrace area, perfect for lounging and BBQ/alfresco dining. The kitchen also has a set of French doors which open out to a covered lounge area which is perfect for a morning coffee or lounging as the sun sets. There is also a fabulous bar area encompassing the kitchen and the terrace.
Also on the ground floor is an easy access twin bedroom with air con and bathroom with walk in shower & double sinks. This floor is wheelchair friendly with Shower seat with adjustable handrails.
The large master bedroom has a king-size double bed, mini bar, ensuite bathroom with bidet, double sinks, separate wet room shower area with full bath tub and air con. The master bedroom also has a large balcony with stunning views across to Los lobos and Fuerteventura. The other two bedrooms on this floor have air con, share a bathroom and large balcony with stunning views.
The lower ground floor is a large open area we call The Den. It contains a living room, 2 bedrooms and a bathroom with large walk-in shower and twin sinks. (Twin beds and king size bed).
Also Pool & Ping Pong tables, 65” 4k Smart TV with Netflix, Playstation. Outside is a large tiled area which is used for basketball & football.
This villa has a wonderful atmosphere and is a great base for a holiday in Playa Blanca.
Outside there is the fabulous 10 meter swimming pool with ’in-pool’ sun loungers. Alongside is the Hotsprings hot tub. There is plenty of sunbathing space and a large terrace area to sit back and relax. There are three double Sun loungers and six single to choose from. The traditional seating under the 130 year old olive tree provides a quiet location to relax, have a glass of wine or read a book while overlooking the cactus & palm garden.
While one of the benefits of the villa is that it is in a quiet area yet you can easily walk to the Commercial Centre which has a supermarket, art/gift shops, restaurants/bars. The fabulous Citurna Restaurant is now open in the old Casa Carlos location, a few minutes stroll from Casa Ombu.
The stunning Papagayo beaches are a short drive or 20 minute walk from the villa along a dusty track road. The five beaches are secluded, very clean and sparsely populated, we refer to them as hidden treasures. So organise yourselves, pack a picnic and spend a pleasant day on these sandy beaches. Papaguyo also has two beach restaurants.
Marina Rubicon is 3 minutes away and has a host of restaurants, bars and upmarket shops all with wonderful views of the marina and the yachts. There is a market there every Wednesday and Saturday morning, a treat for the keen bargain hunter.
Please note this is our home and it is only rented for a couple of weeks of a year.

The air-conditioning/heating operates via one central coin meter. We have found this to be the fairest system, so guests only pay for what they wish to use. It is an economical system.
Please note Pool heating is optional, if selected there will be an extra charge.
