I enjoyed my stay, thank you. Other than a housekeeper banging on my door on the morning of my departure, despite a Do Not Disturb sign! But I survived.

Basic room - no frills
small sized family room. Not much room to manoeuvre, store suitcases or wardrobe space. No hotel parking or drop off zone to unpack car. Double yellow lines outside of hotel so at risk of parking ticket. Good location for exploring and lots to do around city. Breakfast nice but does get very busy at peak periods.

Quiet location.
Good hotel in a quiet location but close to city centre and walls. Good breakfast but go earlier than 9 or can be very busy. Only negative point is typical of most hotels, noisy room doors and people who do not know how to close them quietly! Discounted parking close by but still expensive compared to some just a little further away. Would return.

Everything about our stay was fabulous. I booked 2nights for myself, my daughter and my sister for a girlie break. The check in was simple, room clean, breakfast brilliant, Evan had gluten free bread and cereal! Parking was in the NCP nearby, charge of £18.50 per night, bit of a shock at first but turned out fine, car secure, didn’t need to use it. Would definitely stay there again and recommend to others. Thank you

We stayed here for one night and that was enough. Although the hotel was clean and in a good walking distance to the centre, the lack of food options is appalling. One of us staying has a milk allergy and doesn't eat meat so was very limited as to what we could have. I contacted the hotel before so they were aware but still no other options made available. Breakfast consisted of vegan sausages, beans and a slice of toast. Considering the price of the hotel I expected more. Extremely disappointed. The restaurant menu was also appalling

Nice area, close to central York, train station. Clean rooms, lovely breakfast, staff friendly, close parking and the hotel offered discount for the parking fee. The only thing I would say negative about the bar area is that some of the tables are vey sticky, this is not through not being cleaned, I would say something has been used on it and it feels like it’s striped the top layer off, I only mention it because we stayed in the same hotel 3 years ago and the table was the same back then 😂. Don’t put your belongs on it!! Change of table neeeded!!

This was a very nice hotel, the best of the four hotels we had this summer around Britain. It is very conveniently located, in easy walking distance to the railway station (even with luggage, and there is a shortcut with ramps to roll the suitcases: the hotel is essentially on one side of the old city wall, and the railway station on the other), as well as in walking distance to the city center and its sights. The breakfast was included, and was good, so the price was very reasonable. The rooms were nice, bright, modern and with a good view. If we come again to York, we certainly will use this hotel again, it comes with our full recommendations.
