The hotel was fantastic, on arrival we were greeted at reception then shown to our room, the room was lovely and clean, spacious and quiet, there was air conditioning so we were able to regulate the temperature to suit us. The breakfast was superb, better than I have had in some time, a great selection of continental and cooked options were available. The bar area was very comfortable and we were given complimentary drinks in lieu of room cleaning on day 2 which was a nice surprise. The hotel is a 10-15 minute walk from town and there are plenty of places to eat/drink if you do not want to eat in the hotel bistro. The only slight negative would be the parking, it is on site but not included in the price and was £15 per day, I would expect this if the parking was off site which is normal for a city centre hotel, but as as it was on site I felt this was a little excessive. Previously I have paid £9/£10 for discounted off site parking. Having said that it would not put us off on the future, we were very happy with the hotel, it was comfortable and welcoming, overall an excellent hotel and we would definitely stay again.

Brilliant stay & very helpful staff. Izzy replied to my messages through the app & the team arranged a nice birthday surprise. The hotel is lovely & well-located. The room was great & we took advantage of the drinks voucher, instead of getting our room cleaned. I would highly recommend staying here.

Lovely hotel and we enjoyed our brief stay. We did report a light in our room which wasn’t working and it was never attended to. Also reported pillows were not comfortable. Bar service was not the best. Items not stocked and had to ask repeatedly for things. We would stay in this hotel again and just minor things about the service.

A Reasonable hotel in York
The hotel is well located for both the railway station and town centre.The reception staff was not clear about the eco clean benefits against money off drinks.I had to remind staff about the daily discount as we had chosen eco clean. Breakfasts were very good and evening dinner and choice were quite good. The classic bedroom was good but the bathroom/ shower facility was not fit for purpose. Following a shower the water scattered and the floor was always wet. The staff were friendly and polite.
