I had booked and paid in advance but when I got there they would not let me stay because I had accidentally left my licence at home. The lady at the counter was rude and seemed to believe I was making it all up for reasons unknown. It was late, I’d driven 4 hours from Sydney and she had no problems throwing me out on the street.

Accommodation of last resort in Young. Backpacker hostels have much better facilities. A disgrace to Young.

Was called a Fu##ing idiot & told to find somewhere else to stay at 1730 by the manager, All because I refused to let them record my Drivers Licence number on the computer along side my credit card details. I was left waiting at the counter for over 20 mins until the manager found his way back to the hotel, probably from home. I feel sorry for the staff. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO MY WORST ENEMY

Staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel is well located. Bistro food was excellent. Bed was comfortable and the room warm. Unfortunately the men's showers didn't have any hot water - wasn't an issue for me as I was just staying overnight for work.

This place was possibly the worst place we've stayed in Australia. The girl on the desk was lovely but other than that the accommodation was feral. The room we were put in had no window but a fire door that didn't lock. It smelled like cigarette smoke and was dirty. They changed us to a other room but the facilities that were stated on Expedia were not there. Checkout was at 10am but we were woken from 9am by the cleaning lady who was very eager to clean our room and the facilities meaning we couldnt even use the one female toilet as it was being cleaned.

Thankyou publican Jamie and friendly helpful staff. We stayed here on a 1500km round trip and just needed a bed for the night. They offered us safe parking for our motorbikes. Great pub, cheap delicious food, comfy bed, clean room, shared bathroom perfect, (we didn't need a shower), just perfect. Huge TV, ceiling fan and powerful room heater. In room bar fridge! Couldn't be happier.
