Hotels in Zahara's downtown area are on the thin side. But if you're okay with a short drive, you can easily stay in one of the 3 digs within 10 kilometres of the centre.

After a brilliant day of sightseeing in the city centre, get under the covers of a comfy bed at Al Lago Guest House and Arco De La Villa.

After more options? The Hotel Cortijo Salinas can be found 11 kilometres away from the downtown area, and the Hotel Molino Cuatro Paradas is 20 kilometres away. The Hotel Fuerte Grazalema, 12 kilometres away, and the Hotel Villa de Setenil, 25 kilometres away, are alternate options.

Montejaque is another place where you can kick back and make friends with the room service menu. Located 18 kilometres southeast of Zahara, it's where you'll find the Pileta Caves and Sierra de Grazalema Natural Park. Montejaque hotels and accommodations are the Molino del Santo and Casitas de la Sierra. 25 kilometres to the east of Zahara you'll also find Setenil de las Bodegas, home to the El Almendral and Las Errizas. While in Setenil de las Bodegas, set aside some time to check out Acinipo Roman Ruins and Nazari Castle.

Ronda is situated 25 kilometres from Zahara and has a population of 37,000. When you're here, you'd be mad if you didn't visit Puente Viejo, El Tajo Gorge and the Bandit Museum. The Puerta de Almocabar and Church of Santa Maria la Mayor are a couple more attractions which are sure to offer up some photo ops.
