It lies 170 kilometres away from the fine city of Sarajevo and 200 kilometres from another main city, Podgorica.

Cathedral of Saint Mark is in Korcula, 25 kilometres to the northeast. This wonderful attraction is worth the trip.

Sitting 55 kilometres to the north, Zlatni Rat Beach is a lovely place to spend an afternoon lounging by the sea. Baska Voda Beach also offers some pleasant scenery. You'll find it 65 kilometres to the north.

Spend a laid-back afternoon at Mljet National Park. It lies just 40 kilometres out of Zaklopatica. Breathe in the clean, fresh air and take some time to simply unwind.

You may like Lastovo Archipelago Nature Park. It's an excellent place to wander around if you've got some time to spare.

You'll find even more just around the corner. Blato, 20 kilometres to the north, is popular for Croatia Divers Vela Luka and the Olive Oil Museum. Though, if Przina Beach and Badija Monastery are more appealing, go 30 kilometres northeast from Zaklopatica to Lumbarda.

Spend some time visiting Orebic Harbor, Trpanj Harbor and the Orebic Maritime Museum. All of these attractions are pretty close to the middle of Trpanj, 40 kilometres away. Looking for more? The Korta Katarina Winery and Franciscan Monastery should also feature on your travel plan.
