I booked this hotel for a weekend stay based on its location - close to the main train station, city centre, old town - and this didn't disappoint. It is close to the tourist information office and bus station where coach tours set off from.
Based on the price, I wasn't expecting it to be a luxury hotel, and it wasn't. However, it was clean and comfortable and the staff at the desk were really helpful, especially Andrea.
Other reviews have commented on the fact that there is no air conditioning and there are no coffee/tea making facilities in the room. This is true: there is a small fan in the room which is fine when the weather is not too hot (we stayed there in mid-June) but if you are travelling at the height of summer, this is something you should take into consideration. Tea/coffee is available in the area by the reception desk for you to take back to your room.
It's also worth knowing that there is a small flight of steps from the entrance to the reception desk, so if you have a lot of heavy luggage that you can't carry very far, this might be a problem for you (we travelled light so not an issue for us).
All in all, it's a good option for a short stay in the city. Just make sure to set your expectations correctly by comparing the room rate with other hotels in a similar location.
