Keen to get away from it all? Can't stop following hashtags like #BeautifulLandscape? Then base yourself in Aast and journey through the seriously gorgeous beaches and forests of Aquitaine.

The popular city of Andorra la Vella is situated within reach of Aast. You will find this busy centre 160 kilometres to the southeast.

Once you're in Aast, it's just 17 kilometres south to Loubajac. Go on a day trip and see Rosary Basilica, a famous attraction that draws in travellers from all over the place.

Take a journey out to Ossun, 13 kilometres away. When you get there, you should head straight over to Notre-Dame de l'Immaculee-Conception.

You don't need to be stuck inside a car all day to witness a bit of nature. Just 45 kilometres out of Aast, Pyrenees National Park is a popular place to sit back and relax. More delightful surrounds await at Pic du Midi de Bigorre, 45 kilometres away.

Located 15 kilometres away, Maurice Trelut Stadium is a favourite for rugby union fans. Pack a few pieces of red and white, and time your stay with a thrilling game featuring the home team, the Tarbes Pyrénées Rugby. You can also cheer on the second home team, the Tarbes Pyrénées Football.

Leave a plume of white powder behind you as you conquer the slopes at Gourette Ski Resort. True powder hounds should also test out the snow at Candanchu Ski Resort.

If you're considering expanding your horizons, head 3 kilometres northeast to Ponson-Dessus. It's here you'll find Montaner Castle and Lac du Gabas. We also suggest going to Oroix, 5 kilometres to the east, for Castelbieilh Archaelogical Site and Notre Dame de l'Esperance Abbey.

Both travellers and locals often head over to Tarbes. This place is 14 kilometres to the southeast and not too far from Massey Garden, the Laloubere Golf Club and the Tarbes Golf Course. If you're staying a little while, remember to swing by the Tarbes Les Tumulus Golf and the Nouveautes Theater.

Blagnac Airport (TLS), the nearest airport, is 120 kilometres to the east from the centre of Aast. Plan a route, pack up your bag and set your alarm clock — and be sure not to hit the snooze button too many times!

We can't find any accommodations in Aast itself, so you may just have to settle for second best. Luquet, 5 kilometres away, is the closest place that has accommodation. Around here, you're sure to have a superb night's sleep at the Hôtel Restaurant du Bearn and Hôtel du Commerce.
