The room was overall nice but seems to be getting a bit out dated. The toilet wouldn’t flush properly. Breakfast was nice and check in was smooth with a lovely assistant.

Would’ve been nice to have been informed that the lifts in the car park and lobby were currently being fixed before or during booking so we could’ve made an informed decision of our recent stay. The notice came only AFTER the booking was made. Apart from the saga with the lifts we enjoyed our stay in our comfortable room and bed. Great value for money and the location was unparalleled - close to everything. Will stay again in the future. Hopefully new lifts would’ve been installed by then and breakfast variety would’ve been improved too especially the lackluster service from staff who forgot we paid and ordered for coffee only to be served after I reminded her that she’s already served 4 people who ordered AFTER us - to which she just nodded with no apology but said ‘straightaway’ instead through gritted teeth. Unfortunately these types are the ones that drag down the otherwise prestigious name of a brand such as Stamford.

The lifts broke down to mornings in a row. First day I went to the fire escape aJF told not to use it ans anlarmed annd you can’t get out other than ground level. Then I couldn’t get back to my room anfter breakfast on ground level. Second day I was trapped on level 20 . Advised someone was coming to assist us to the fire escape which is alarmed. No one showed up. Here in Adelaide to present at a conference and was 1.5 hrs late for. The bathrooms drains were full of debris and smelt. There was a stench when you walked into the foyer as if the sewerage was blocked. Paid for breakfast and some mornings I was told a barrister coffee was included and other days not. Premed is is very dated and not ideal particularly when I booked 4 rooms for colleague who also had the same Spaulding experience.

Were told our car wouldnt fit in their carpark even though its a standard height and were directed to the worst carpark in Adelaide. Had to pay double for parking and our vehicle was damaged. No mention of this on the website. Staff were rude and we received no money back for parking as stated when we booked.
