Our stay at The Mike End was awesome. Staff were super friendly and accommodating. The room was wellnpresented and very tidy. Enjoyed our stay immensely.
There was no hot water available in the toilet basin. The shower was dirty. The bedside tables were full of dust and the bedside lamps weren't working.
There was continuous noise of running water in one of the bedrooms which made it hard for us to sleep. The TV remote sometimes worked.
Initially we were surprised that aTV remote was not in the room. Not particularly important nor the fact that there were no tissues supplied. However, there was no hot water at the bathroom handbasin prior to going to bed. This morning we had an appointment to attend at 10.00am and at 8.15 when we were going to shower, no hot water still. Upon contacting reception, the staff member came to our room around 10min. later advising that we could go to another room and shower. If we had done that we would not have been at our appointment on time. The staff member was apologetic and promised to look at reimbursement.
Super friendly and helpful staff made our stay a pleasant experience. Food quality an prsentation A1, thank you for an enjoyable stay, we will be back.

The bathrooms were remodeled and extra clean. The hotel had a historic look and feel. I chose it for the neighborhood. The food and drinks were good. Trivia night was fun. The staff was friendly and helpful. The housekeeper, Heather was kind, giving me info with the bus stop right outside the hotel and helping get my suitcase down the stairs. The security was excellent with an extra locked door on the stairs from the restaurant and bar area.
Great atmosphere, food and dining was great, wife would of loved if you had Strongbow draught available to drink but we found it very convenient to the city and would recommend the place to friends and family to stay there.
