Holidays in Ain Ebel

It's simple — an adventurous life is a life well-lived. So grab your passport, pack your things and say hello to Ain Ebel!

It's 85 kilometres south of Beirut, the capital of Lebanon.

Spend at least a few hours enjoying the refreshing ocean breeze and collecting delicate shells at Tyre Beach or Ein Gev Beach.

Break free on an adventure to some surrounding natural attractions. 40 kilometres out of Ain Ebel, Mount Hermon is waiting to be explored. Mount Tabor, 45 kilometres away, is another splendid spot to find some peace and quiet.

Whether you're keen to spend most of your time on the expert runs or find your feet on the beginners' slope, you'll love chasing that fresh powder at Mount Hermon Ski Site.

Do you like the sound of Tel Hazor and Alma Cave? These sights are in Kerem Ben Zimra, just 10 kilometres southeast of Ain Ebel. Or maybe Koach-Nabi Yusha Fortress and Tel Kedesh National Park are more up your alley? To visit them, head to Malkiya, 11 kilometres east.

Spend a while strolling around Center for Healthy Living in Safed, General Exhibition and Hameiri House. They are all quite close to the middle of Amuka, 17 kilometres to the southeast. Have more time? The Museum of Hungarian Speaking Jewry and the Israel Bible Museum should also be on your itinerary.

There's a whole new world of surprising flavours waiting to two-step across your taste buds in Nabatieh Governorate. With plenty of decadent things to gorge on, all you need to bring with you is a solid appetite — and perhaps your stretchiest jeans.

Once you pull up a seat and leaf through a menu at a restaurant, you'll soon discover that whole grains and fresh seafood are a few ingredients commonly used in local cooking.

When Ain Ebel locals talk to you about their favourite food, you're likely to hear fattoush (salad) or foul (slow cooked brown beans and lentils) mentioned a few times. These classic dishes are part of the region's identity and should be on any foodie's must-try list.

Still got a little room after dinner? Then put in an order for rice pudding, a moreish dessert.

There's bound to be some excitement in the air around the 22nd of November. The locals will be getting themselves ready for Independence Day, a day of national celebrations.

Endless security checks, delayed flights and lost baggage. Airports can be stressful places. Make things a little easier and give yourself extra time to make your way to Rafic Hariri International Airport (BEY). Located 80 kilometres to the north, it's the closest terminal.
