Sorry! Try as we might, we haven't been able to track down any places to stay in the heart of Amalfi.

But don't work yourself into a tizzy just yet. Alejandria is approximately 60 kilometres away and has some impressive hotels, including the Golden Elephant Hostel and Hotel El Descanso del Arriero.

Attractions and Hotels Near Amalfi

If you still have itchy feet, why not take off and explore more of the Colombia region? Ruins are some well-known attractions that should be on your cannot-miss list. If the outdoors are more your thang, check out the area's beaches, coastal plains and forests. If the sun is shining (or even if it's not), also get out there and have a crack at some popular local pastimes like mountain biking.

San Jeronimo is another place to chill out in your fluffy gown. It's home to the San Jeronimo Park and San Jeronimo Church, and it's 85 kilometres to the southwest of the middle of Amalfi. San Jeronimo hotel options include the Hotel Quimbaya and Hosteria Guaracu.

On the plane? Freaking out cos you haven't got anywhere to stay at the other end? Don't panic! Odds are you'll be able to snap up a room at the Movich Hotel Las Lomas. It's not far from Jose Maria Cordova International Airport, which is 90 kilometres from Amalfi's centre.
