We got in at about 10:30pm on the train to anchorage. We scheduled an Uber, gathered our luggage and took about a 12 minute drive to our hotel. Check in was smooth and painless. We found our room without a problem. Thermostat adjusted room temperature quickly to what we wanted it at and we were able to get to bed quickly. The shades darkened the room so we were able to sleep even though it was still light out. It was quiet all night. The hotel offered a free shuttle service to the airport, on the hour (that you need to schedule the night before). We got to the airport with no problems.
Now for the not so great…the lotion they provide, smells great, but does not soak in and is watery. The shampoo on the sink look like it has been used and left there. The drain in the shower had a longer, rectangular cover that was supposed to be placed over it, but it was propped up in the shower, to the side. We didn’t use the shower because we were there less than 12 hours, so I can’t tell you if the drain worked or not.
The room didn’t seem to have any modern updates, or any extra perks to it. There weren’t any USB ports in the room for chargers. For a room that cost $445 for one night, booked 10 months in advance, I thought it would have been nicer and had more to it.
