The hotel is generally very lovely. I hated the neighborhood but that’s not the hotels fault. The room was clean and the pool was gorgeous. Check in was delayed by almost an hour with very little apology or explanation. Concierge was terrific. I understand that they want to keep sort of an old Hollywood feel, but a coffeemaker in the room would have been nice. I get it that they also probably would rather you buy coffee from the very pricey restaurant, but at the very least, have some glasses in the room for water.

The staff were exceptional. Happy and accommodating. While the Roosevelt is a historical building, it needs and deserves a bit of a facelift. But it doesn’t detract from the experience. I would return for the staff alone.

Classic iconic Hollywood hotel, rooms are small but very clean. Stayed 2 nights. Pool is wonderful except for the security staff which were very rude & told my husband (who is African American) & I that it was $70 drink minimum for a lounge chair at the pool when everyone, including people not staying at the hotel, were sitting at lounge chairs not drinking anything & they were not told anything about drink minimums. I did report it to the front desk staff who were very concerned.
