Andrew and Marcia were wonderful hosts. They shared the history of the homestead and the local insider information. They made our visit to the Barossa Valley so much more memorable and interesting than it otherwise would have been. Collingrove is beautiful, well appointed and full of history. Highly recommended!
Collingwood is a gracious historic home, Ser in beautifulpark-like gardens. It's relaxed elegance is matched by great hosts, comfortable beds and thoughtfully styled amenities. Do yourself a favour and base your Barossa days here
We had a most enjoyable stay at Collingrove Homestead. We were made to feel very welcome and we had a very relaxing time, including enjoying the open fire in the guest house. There is so much history to see at this house. We will be back.
Beautiful home. Really enjoyed walking through the house reading about its history. Bed was very comfortable, breakfast was delicious and the service was so friendly. Guest lounge with tea and coffee was great too.
Our stay at Collingrove was definitely memorable, the estate and grounds were beautifully preserved. We were greater by our host Marcia, she went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant, she was very accommodating. We had a generous cooked breakfast daily, we would love to come back.
We had a lovely overnight stay at this wonderful heritage homestead. The breakfast is fantastic and your hosts full of local historical knowledge about the area
Great historic stay starting with a tour and a cuppa on the veranda. Marcia was the perfect host and her breakfast was tremendous.Room was super comfortable that just took you back in time.
If a relaxing break is what you're looking for and you prefer the quintessential cottage or stately home feel to the modernistic hotels of today then look no further. If there was a six out of 5 for service I would be awarding that !
A wonderful break in this historic homestead and the perfect venue for a very special occasion. Marcia and Andrew were very kind hosts and could not have taken better care of us as we celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary.
Had a terrific night away at Collingrove. Grounds are stunning. Facilities were simple but luxurious - very comfortable bed and robes, with a modern and clean bathroom. Hosts Andrew and Marcia tread the line between friendly and approachable and over-familiar very well. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful.
The only disappointment is that we were only there for one night.
Unique experience staying in historical homestead!
We spent two nights at Collingrove last week, we stayed in the "workshop". The room was lovely, the bed divine and the atmosphere very relaxing.
The history of the place is very interesting and you get a real feel for what the Angas family have achieved in establishing some key areas of South Australian pastoral history.
The furnishings, feel and general style of the property is very real and takes you back in time!
The hosts were very accommodating with our needs. The homemade breakfasts were lovely, the spa was amazing and the guest hall with the open fireplace was just what we wanted on our little break away.
I had seen this place years back by driving past it many times and wanted once to stay there for a special occasion. When I wanted to treat my partner with something special I decided to go to the Barossa and to stay in Collingrove and we loved it. The place has character; nevertheless it is the homestead of Angas, one of the first people coming to South Australia..
Marcia and Andrew are just lovely people, extremely accommodating and helpful. The weather was not the best but the atmosphere of the place and the welcoming friendliness of the hosts made the stay just a pleasure.
For us it was a different, unique and memorable experience and we just can recommend it in the warmest possible words.
We had an awesome time in the Barossa Valley during the Vintage Festival. Staying at Collingrove was the icing on the cake. Breakfast was fabulous, the history interesting & the staff outstanding.
