stains on carpet mold in the shower and shower door furnitures should have renovation coz they look old fashion. safe was locked houskeepers must have better jon in details. common areas look fine. especially during the pandemic, hotels might have deep cleaning in rooms instead of cutting budgets

We stayed at the hotel for few days. The view is beautiful from the terrace. The breakfast was good and healthy. The staff were OK with English. However very noisy at night.

Ok if you're passing through Ankara to pastures greener like I was. Fairly central location was a saving grace as the room was implausibly small and the decor left me feeling like I was in a grim 1970s horror movie. Reception staff were friendly enough and helpful. The other staff however would do well to enrol in courses for smiling and acting as though you being there isn't of the utmost inconvenience to them.

Room was not as clean as it could have been. Reception were however helpful at times assisting me with trying to catch the right bus for my business meetings. Food was disappointing not enough selection. What was annoying was the charges to the airport as a local friend of reception took me and could not produce a receipt for my expenses as a business traveller. He even asked another taxi driver to use one of his receipts which went down like a lead balloon.

Train station to airport
I did have some trouble finding the hotel as it looked close to the train station on the map but was actually a long walk. Luckily a lovely Turkish couple helped me find it. The street itself was shady. Think strip clubs; however, once inside the hotel all was good. There were lovely tour group members and the staff was extremely nice as was the 10th floor restaurant had a wonderful view of the city. The bed was comfortable and the room felt safe. Even without working internet. Best of all was the airport bus that stopped on the nearest corner and got me to the airport in 30 minutes.

A good hotel to stay in central Ankara
A good hotel with very friendly and helpful staff - it is not a 4 star but more like a good 3 star in my opinion. It is very central and reasonably priced. I would go back.

Old fashioned hotel with wifi problem
The hotel is situated on a street where at least five other outwardly similar mid-range hotels can be found. This hotel is apparently a favorite with tour groups. I remember at least three groups checking in during my stay. These created problems with noise (I could hear them talking loudly in the corridors or the next room through the thin walls of my own room) and the lifts (which are small and old-fashioned with doors you have to push and pull). Wifi, though free, is very problematic. Although I was given a password, it never worked and I need approach the receptionist every time toget online

I can recommend the Atalay Hotel if you are looking for very good service and good value for money. It is clean and centrally located. Very good choice for exploring Ankara. Reasons to choose the Hotel Atalay: - great and service minded staff. They were all very polite, professional, helpful and they contributed to make my stay an enjoyble one - great value for money - clean hotel - complementary wifi and bottled water - centrally located for exploring the old town - possible to reach the hotel with bus 442 from and to the airport. Stops 300-500 meters away from the Atalay hotel - good amenities Reasons not to: - heavily trafficked street right outside the hotel which means more or less continuously noise - pollution from the traffic, road dust etc - hotelareas which smelled strongly of old smoke Rooms: The room was clean and adequate, but not the most modern one. The rooms are not that big, but the bed was comfortable with nice linen. The hotel provides nice amenities. It was not possible to keep the window open at night because of the noise and pollution from the traffic. The room is equipped with air condition so this might be a substitute for lack of open window. Based on the room and general standard my evaluation is that this is a very good three star hotel, but not really a four star. Anyway, three star or four star - the Atalay hotel provides great value for money.

Excellent choice.
Excellent location. very helpfull staff . very good breakfast buffet. Little knowledge of English language. Electric appliances from U.S. do not work due to different outlet standard.so be prepared to bring your own fits.
