The Hotel Carlton was not only the prettiest hotel we stayed at during our 3 country vacation but also the safest. It is in a very convenient location with excellent shopping opportunities around. Antxon our bell hop was very helpful, not only with our luggage but with taxi service as well! We indulged in some room service and we were NOT disappointed ! Highly recommend this location.

The hotel was in a great central location to walk everywhere in the city. Our room was not updated like others so it wasn't very nice. Our sinks were both clogged. The entire hotel can only be on heat OR A/C so the rooms were very hot since they were still on heat mode.

The landmark hotel in the centre of Bilbao
I must have stayed here 50 times. As long as there is availability I stay here. As always the feeling of history and class pervades, and right at the heart of Bilbao Rooms spacious and well furnished, the bar has a sociable and convivial atmosphere everyone knows it so easy to arrange meetings.

Lovely old hotel with tons of charm. Very comfortable spacious rooms with comfy beds and large marble baths. Outstanding staff. Ideal location near shopping eateries and ten minute walk to the Guggenheim. Very pleased.
