Okay, we're feeling your vibe! It's time to find your passport, kiss the office goodbye and take in the unique sights and sounds of Asteri. Situated in the popular region of Crete Island (which is renowned for its awesome beaches, coastal plains and rivers), it's guaranteed to be the getaway you deserve!

Greece's capital city, Athens, lies about 300 kilometres to the north of Asteri.

Fortezza Castle is situated 11 kilometres away in Rethymnon. This wonderful attraction is worth the journey.

Spend a few hours enjoying the sound of the swell and picking up perfect seashells at Golden Beach or Elafonisi Beach.

You don't need to be on the road all day to witness a bit of nature. Just 30 kilometres out of Asteri, Lake Kournas is a favourite spot to kick back and unwind. More tranquil surrounds await at Sfendoni Cave, 25 kilometres away.

If you can't imagine a getaway without some live sports action, look up the event schedule at Pankritio Stadium. It's likely something will be happening while you're in town. You'll find the venue 45 kilometres away in Heraklion.
