Decent Place, But Has Some Issues

The staff are very friendly and helpful. Pam helped a lot with the dietary needs of my niece. At the time of our stay, the building was under transfer of ownership and some renovations. A random elevator would need service every day, with one of them missing buttons. The halls, though vacuumed, still had bits of trash by the baseboards. During our stay, we found two Palmetto bugs of a decent size. One in the main area, the other in a family members bathroom. For the rooms, they are on the smaller side for single beds. The showers are missing an exhuast vent. We checked all the switches in the each room we stayed in for it. The ACs worked admirably in the heatwave they were experiencing at the time. However, in one of our rooms, the drain was not working properly, and had not been for some time for the black mold around the frame of the mirror was quiet substantial. I also recommend checking the toilet flushes, as one of the rooms we first had did not have one that properly did. Another room we initial were provided had a broken key card reader. For the price and location, it's a decent place to stay for a short time.

Did not realize how close to the highway we would be. It was a very busy night for accidents, state patrol and ambulance sirens. It was just a quick overnight stay prior to our daughters surgery the next morning at CHOA so we didn’t pay much attention to much more than how close we would be.

Nice stay

Stayed six nights. Convienent hotel at a good price. Had difficulty reaching the front desk by phone before check-in. Side next to highway is a bit noisy. They handed out free water bottles upon request. Breakfast was good, but gets monotonous after a few days. Staff was friendly. Nearish Emory.

The room appeared used as there was only 1 face cloth, 1 hand towel, no bath soap, and bedding not smooth. Also the filter for the are vent was not in place and the air blew forcefully with a stale odor. The lobby area was really nice.

First impression not impressed

Upon check in my room along with at least three different parties were not ready. Initially there was no enthusiasm about an ETA as far as when a room would be ready, the security was most helpful. It was around 1 in the morning and it took at least an hour to get a room ready, the air inside the room was not cool, it was pretty humid in the room. There os construction nearby that was disturbing. We checked out early. Not enough that i wont visit again but this was my first visit and first impressions are everything.

Two stars from me

Just know that I would only stay there again only if the whole hotel was upgraded and everything was new. Management was very friendly so was staff and security. My toilet was stop up the bar was supposed to be open everyday but wasn’t there was a big dead roach in the bar area. Breakfast was ok not bad at all. The original name of the hotel was covered with a blue tarp. But overall it just needs a face lift on the outside and inside.
