Location Location and Nugget Ice Maker!
This is a fabulous location - so close to the beach yet only a quick golf cart ride to the market and shops. Kitchen was nicely appointed, and the Nugget Ice Maker was a nice surprise. Our family loved that! The bunk room would be a tight fit if you're planning to use the trundle bed but everything worked out for our family's stay. Host was very responsive to communications and extremely easy to work with. Thank you for sharing your home!

Great stay!
My wife and her friends booked their annual girls’ trip and decided on bald head island and this rental. They all really enjoyed their stay and my wife got to sleep in the separate suite which she likened to a treehouse. The owner was very responsive and they all enjoyed the beauty of the island. They also really enjoyed the hospitality of everyone on the island as well. Great stay!

Such a lovely location!
Our extended family and two dogs stayed here for 4 nights. This house is tucked in a quiet neighborhood with lots of trees and shade, and was just a short walk to East Beach. The large golf cart fit all of us, including the dogs! Any questions I had were answered quickly. A nice house, a nice vacation.

Great get away close to our favorite beach area
The house was perfectly located close to the park for our dogs walks. A short ride to the Shoal's Club and our favorite beach. I loved sitting on the front porch each morning and just relaxing.

Well stocked home near the beach
My family and I loved this house. It’s in a neighborhood surrounded by live oaks and palms, but the beach is so close, you can hear it. The kitchen was one of the most well stocked that I’ve seen. Given that the food options are limited on the island, we always come prepared to cook when we stay. We were surprised by the quality of the bikes and beach chairs (which I know likely won’t last since the beach eats stuff like that), they had clearly been recently updated. The back yard is almost completely fenced in, which was enough to fool our dog while we hung out on the back deck.

Best Location and excellent home!
We just wrapped up our stay at this house and it's was hands down 5 star. Super clean, great space/layout, and the location is excellent. It takes about 30 seconds to drive in the gold car to the beach access. We will definitely be coming back!

Island Oasis
We had a wonderful BHI visit while staying at this cottage! The property was clean, cozy, and cute! It was well equipped inside and outside!! There was plenty of comfortable seating In the living area and the beds were very comfortable. A 6 passenger golf cart and bicycles were fun for riding around the island. The front porch was our “hang out” to start the day while drinking a cup of coffee and end the day while sipping a glass of wine! We hope to be back soon! Great memories! Great time!!

This a cute house and a great location close to South Beach access. It’s well equipped but no frills. The owner was very responsive in the booking process and with the one question we had while at the house. The 6 person golf cart is fantastic.

2022 Girls Trip was 5 stars!
8 moms got to get away!- we had a wonderful trip. Enjoyed coffee on the porch each morning (the girls who stayed in the crofter enjoyed having their own Keurig in the room!) All the girls loved how comfortable the beds were. The golf cart had curtains which was great since we had a little rain one day! It didn't stop us for going out on an adventure! This was my second time at this house in Cape Fear Station which IMO is the best area on the island!

Great Stay- booking again!
Enjoyed our weekend at Ainsley's place. Great communication. Easy checkin/out. The crofter above the golf cart garage was an added bonus. We were with two other couples and we chose to stay in the crofter. It was so nice to be with others, but then have the privacy of this private bedroom. The bathroom looked to have been renovated recently and it had its own coffee maker. We are already thinking about booking this home over spring break with our children and grandparents.

Overall we are happy with our trip. The house is lovely and in an excellent location, only a few minutes from East Beach. Our son loved the bunk bed room and we were able to squeeze a pack and play in there for our littlest one. The outdoor shower was great to get all the sand off, just don’t pull the door shut because you won’t be able to get back out since the latch cord is missing! There are some maintenance items that need to be completed — deep cleaning, dusting the air returns, fixing the bathroom vent fans, replacing stained carpet upstairs, etc.

Well appointed and fun location!
I booked this property for my family to stay in during my wedding week. It's a lovely location, convenient to the beach and everything else with Bald Head. The property is well appointed (bikes and beach chairs!), the beds/furniture were comfortable, and Ainsley was incredibly friendly, responsive, and accommodating. A few items kept it from being a top notch experience... First, and the most minor - a few of the bikes had flat tires and needed to be serviced. Second is cleanliness. The property was mostly clean, but there were clearly some overlooked areas (like a bug smushed on an outlet cover by the stove, dusty air intakes - like waving in the breeze dust, and visible dust on decorations). To be fair, I did ask for an earlier check-in if possible because of arrival times, but some of this dust couldn't have been from the previous guest, it's been there awhile building up, and its not like I was looking behind pictures, its right in your face. The 3rd is the mildew smell in the crofter. I know its humid, I know its an island. But its overwhelming and probably in the walls or under the garage. All that to say, I would stay here again - just maybe not in the crofter haha.

BHI is truly the best and Ainsley and this house were among the best! Such a great location in East Beach and a perfect home for your stay! Ainsley was a marvelous and attentive host and made our stay such a gift!
