Serene oasis from the busy city
Our stay at Catalonia Park Putxet was lovely. The rooftop area is a serene oasis from the busy city. We chose this hotel for it's proximity to our friends who live in the area, and it did not disappoint. The hotel staff are all very friendly and helpful. The room was clean with crisp linens, and simply but well appointed.

Hotel was clean and staff are friendly. The rooms and washroom are on the smaller side and the walls were the thinnest I’ve ever experienced. You can hear people from the rooms all around you and the doors are loud when you close them. We had a room by the street and every night there were loud truck noises outside and one night we could even smell the garbage that was being emptied at 12am despite our window being closed. Being a light sleeper, I woke up a lot every night. I found Barcelona to be a little smelly in general but it’s quite bad around the hotel.

Initial impression was the room was quite small and dingy. Hotel a bit out of the way. However, we soon got to appreciate the friendly service. Room was small but comfortable. Breakfast was very good. Evening bar snacks not so great. Food seemed to be preprepared and warmed up by waiters. Not always adequately. Tried to get a glass of wine one evening but was told they’d run out!

Good base to explore
Nicely laid out room, comfortable and airconditioned. the bathroom had a Shower and bath which is nice. Roof-top pool is a nice touch and was much needed after a hot day exploring. Our room was cleaned everyday. We didn't really have a view from our window, but this didn't bother us as we didn't plan on spending much time in the room. Walk to Metro takes about 8 minutes if your fast-paced and the Metro to the centre was 3 stops. If I find myself visiting again I would definitely stay here again.

Unfriendly staff shower leaked was locked out of our room due to door card not working staff kept providing new key at least 4 separate times having us run up and down steps until finally I said I am not doing this again. Maintenance finally came up and replaced the lock we had to wait an additional hour before we could get in the room

Wonderful service!
The service was great- they were professional and efficient but friendly as well which I really appreciated. The room itself was perfect for just one night, and had a balcony with a view that I really enjoyed.

When booked, i requested air conditioning in all three rooms. They were programmed for heating. The only fan available in the hotel was given to one of the rooms. The rooms were warm, not cold for heating. Temperature in Barcelona was slightly cold, not warranting heating. Al three rooms agree, we would never recommend. We were sweating.

The hot water in the shower is not working properly. It starts out with normal temperature and gets scalding hot without any reason. Sometimes I noted when someone is using sink water in the shower get hot. There is also water dripping from the valve flooding the bathroom floor. A/c not working properly either
