We popped in for a day… We were staying in Sitges, Spain… then I didn’t wanna leave so I booked another night… And ready to go back to my beachfront condo in Sitges… but we stayed another night because the staff, the service the front desk the doorman the breakfast people everything was so gracious and sophisticated that we extended our stay in Barcelona… Beautiful hotel, beautiful staff and a perfect location

Far from a Luxury Boutique Experience
Review: This hotel was such a disappointment! I came expecting a luxury boutique experience, but it fell far short of that expectation. Honestly, it felt more like staying in a budget motel or even a hostel. The condition of the property was underwhelming, starting with the hallways where the carpets were visibly patched up. My room was disappointingly small, carried a funky, unpleasant smell, and the thermostat was dysfunctional, making it impossible to maintain a comfortable temperature. What truly sealed the poor experience was the check-in process. The gentleman at the front desk was far from welcoming, which left a bad impression right from the start. The only saving grace—and the reason this review isn’t entirely negative—is the tall doorman. He was consistently kind and attentive throughout our stay, and his hospitality stood out as a bright spot amidst an otherwise lackluster experience. Unfortunately, I can’t recommend this hotel and will be looking elsewhere for a truly luxurious stay in the future.

The location is great. Can’t beat the location, property is very good and staff was very nice. Rooftop is fabulous. Breakfast buffet is overpriced and poor I felt. Fruits and breads.. nothing made to order. Room was ok. Never smelled fresh in the room. TV channels were horrible for an American and limited small water bottles and coffee.. it’s 4 or low 4 star hotel .. but that’s nice..

Hotel Colon on one of the best, if not the best hotels in the Gothic Quarter. Everything is in close proximity and easy to get to from the hotel. There’s many dining options around the hotel and I would definitely recommend staying at HC to anyone. There is also a restaurant on site and the breakfast buffet has better food than some of the restaurants I tried outside of the hotel. The staff are amazing, very friendly and welcoming in all areas of the hotel from the moment you walk in. This my top pick to stay for recurring trips to Barcelona.

I believe it all starts with the first. And Hotel Colon Barcelona set the stage for a month long visit to Spain.
