Staff are generally not very well trained or managed. Bar staff kept bringing drinks that weren’t ours and took a 15 mins to bring our drinks at a quiet time. They then brought the bill after we’d had 2 rounds which was a little embarrassing because they clearly thought we were going to run off without paying. When I asked why we couldn’t keep the tab open the waiter said it was hotel policy. They could have take a preauthorisation if his was their policy. It’s not what you’d expect from a 4 or 5 star. But staff generally are poor. Parking facilities are a 10 minute walk away. Lifts were very busy at times.

The shower head sprayed water and the door didn’t close completely. The Observatory bar ran out of limes and didn’t cherries for drinks. The room charge function didn’t work in the bar. The 1st floor breakfast wasn’t very creative.

I had 2 rooms booked and my room had a whining noise that made us get up and leave the room early as it was impossible to sleep in. We did complain on checkout and an apology was made but I don’t think she realised how irritating that had been and how it had ruined an otherwise lovely experience. I would like you to send me an email so I can send on video to show you how annoying that was for us.

Alfred Suite is the way to go
Had a great weekend in Belfast,hotel is very central to all shops & car parking is a short 6 min walk away Got an upgrade which made the stay even better Breakfast is buffet with lots of choices Will definitely be back The observatory bar & cocktails where class Thanks again Ciara for making our weekend special

A good hotel.
Had a lovely short break in the hotel. Bedroom was really good, bed comfortable, decor not brown. A bit of long term ceiling damage in the bathroom which should have been repaired. Day 1 breakfast was great, day 2 was a disorganised mess. No glasses for orange juice, no milk for cereal, put at a table outside the main restaurant between 2 tables heaped with dirty dishes, had to ask for tea and coffee 3 times, asked for milk and waitress gave another table milk when I asked first, was told that they were short staffed. Well they should have pulled people in from other areas. The queue waiting to be seated was ridiculous. Very disappointed.

I booked the hotel for my wife’s 60 th birthday and our wedding anniversary. When we arrived the receptionist upgraded our room and was very helpful explaining what the hotel had to offer . Nothing was too much bother . We had a meal in the restaurant cocktails on the top floor and breakfast. Everything was fantastic

Prime, central location, ideal for exploring the city. Good breakfast service. Reception staff excellent. Comfortable, spacious room but the foam mattress tilted at an angle when I lay on it, making for an uncomfortable sleep. Drinks in hotel very expensive.
