Perfect hotel near Rumblas
Perfect place to stay off Ramblas. Felt safe all the time. Beautiful roof bar anx lounge. Lots of great eatteries nearby.

The hotel looked small from the outside (small front door), but inside is beautiful and spacious. Room was beautiful, bed so comfortable. Our only complaint was the shower. We do not like deep bathtubs that we need to climb over (we are over 70 years old) plus the shower faucets required instructions to figure out how to make it work. It should be simpler. The hotel is conveniently located to La Boqueria Market. We enjoyed very much the buffet breakfast at the hotel.

Mt family and I secured 3 rooms in this hotel and we were extremely happy with it. The hotel was so conveniently located and very beautiful. My husband doesn't usually comment on hotels but he said he loved this one. The beds were super comfy and the rooms were so clean and just gorgeous. There are taxis right outside the side entrance if needed and hotel staff were very helpful with everything we asked about. Only recommendations would be to include robes for your guests and make-up mirrors with 10x magnification. We will come back for sure when we rerurn to Barcelona.

An amazing hotel, staff were so helpful. Room was amazing and had a warm welcome when arriving for our honeymoon. The only downside was having to book the spa and only being allowed to use it for 30 mins a day. Wouldn’t put us off from returning though!

We’ve stayed at 1898 4 times now and really enjoy the rooftop bar, breakfast is lovely, water in the lobby Flores with fruit and Prosecco in the late afternoon is a nice touch!

Comfortable and spacious. A modern feel but with nods to the history of the building. A good base to explore Barcelona and a lovely area to relax afterwards. Watching sunset from the rooftop bar was a personal highlight of the stay.

Very nice Hotel with beautiful rooms…. The thermostat is too confusing….., the desk dropped it from 24C to 19C at my request but for some reason the room was hotter.,… never got under the covers….. 2 bad nights of sleep….. also, the bar and restaurant hours need expanding

This property is in the heart of the tourist area. Lots to do and many areas to walk and shop. This hotel had very comfy beds and the overall cleanliness of the property and rooms was very good. The service was good however it can be much better. Especially the front desk staff. They have good service overall however they can make your experience go to the next level with being more attentive and smile a little more, We would come back for sure.
