We loved the atmosphere of the property. It was so well looked after, clean and athentic. The manager, Dean, was welcoming and couldn't do enough to help us. We will be back again, and looking forward to it.
The building was a stones throw from the asylum for the evening activites which made for a great combo.

Clean and comfortable rooms in an interesting building. The rooms are a bit dated and do need a bit of a refresh but they have everything you need.

The old nursing home is a great example of art deco building and pleased to see that has been repurposed as accommodaiton for travellers. Is basic in what it offers - that said our room was clean, the beds super comfy and it is an convenient walk from town.
The owners are lovely people always willing to help in any way.

Very dated accomodation but clean….not worth the almost $200 to stay here though…probably because accomodation was scarce I suspect! A lot of creaking noises from the floor above made sleeping difficult, especially after the ghost tour at the lunatic asylum!
Was a great stay, close to Beechworth Asylum, great atmosphere

Lovely open grounds surround the old nurses quarters which have a dormitory type accommodation feel.
Plenty of character and history with the building, and the staff also present as interesting characters. 'Deano' was friendly and very accommodating during our overnight stay.
Room was a good size, and had a spacious bathroom with large shower. Some renovations and fresh paint would improve the place, but found it good value at the price.
The property needs a bit of TLC, new blinds and new mattresses. I understand its heritage but I feel that the fixtures and furniture weren’t heritage enough and were wrong in the public areas. The service was excellent and we did enjoy our stay.
Amazing customer service from Deano! Not who I’d normally expect on a concierge desk, but wow! He’s got so much personality! He knows his job and does it well. The who venue looks a little haunted which was cool with the ghost tours of the asylum nearby. The place is neat and tidy. Happy to have stayed hear.

Restful stop over.
Our stay for one night was good. We like buildings with history and a story. This Art Deco building is just that. The rooms & bed are comfortable. Beechworth is a lovely town with plenty of options for coffee and eats.
Great location, great (heritage) building, great rooms. Minor glitches were remedied quickly and cheerfully. However the lack of Wifi in rooms needs attention.
Loved our stay! Deano was an awesome host. Very friendly & accomodating. Wonderful historical building, beautifully maintained gardens. Great location.
We loved everything about the building, including the authentic art deco restoration, the relaxed vibe, the beautiful grounds and the short drive from Linaker into town which each time provided a gorgeous view of the centre of town. The manager Dean was professional, helpful and thoughtful and all in all, a real treasure.
Evidently once quite a grand property. However, it now might be reasonably described as a faded gem, well in need of a tart up and some maintenance. The room was well appointed, of a decent size and comfortable, but the curtains were coming off their tracks, there was mildew high up in one of the windows and the whole place felt a bit last its best-by date. Sad, really; it could’ve been so much nicer.
