I would give this place maybe a 4 out of 5 if not for one staff member named Nasser who tried his best to make our life miserable during our stay. On arrival, he tried to sell us a tour of the hotel’s service or Tour of Pyramid for our group of 10 people. Initially he asked us for $250 USD, but after a while he said because we are 10 people we would need a guide and for that it will be total $350 USD. We were very shocked by this sudden price increase, so even though we had initially paid, we asked for a refund and told him we don’t want to use the hotels tour service. We had also asked for a receipt and he said he can’t provide one. It was all very fishy. To note that we ultimately got the tour and paid around $90USD total for our group of 10 people. What a scam! The worst thing was, once he couldn’t leech us with this scam- he made it his personal vendetta to make our stay there as inconvenient as possible- at least during the hours he was working. Once we asked breakfast to be served early for the next morning and he said it’s not possible. Interestingly when we woke up the next stay the other staff did serve us the early breakfast ( Nasser wasn’t around). We were expecting a money refund for a tour we overpaid for and we asked him if the hotel could receive the payment (we weren’t set up in the country’s e-cash services) and he said no. It was really no inconvenience at all, and is a service commonly provided by hotels worldwide. The worst wasn’t until later(cont)

Lovely hotel - excellent location for all main activities in and around Cairo. The hotel is very secure - checks on all vehicles entering. Tour guides could find the hotel easily. Good choice of restaurants in the hotel.

Scamers! Be careful We booked at this hotel, and when we arrived, the staff was very rude. They took our passports and insisted on making copies. Then, they kept us waiting for over thirty minutes, acting suspiciously. The men at the reception were whispering to each other and looking at us in a very unsettling way. My father immediately went to them and asked to cancel the booking and return our passports, but they kept refusing! Be cautious. They didn’t even give us our money back, and they never checked us in. We had to take our passports and leave quickly. We then went to the Hilton hotel in Cairo, which felt much safer. This place is run by scammers—be careful. Their neighbors even told us it’s not a safe hotel. They stole $200 from us, but we’re just happy we’re safe. When booking in Egypt, make sure to choose well-known places like Hilton or other reputable hotels. Avoid this one—it’s a scam. Stay safe!
