Beaux Arts country house with 3 outdoor pools and a full-service spa
Majeka House offers 23 accommodations with fireplaces and iPod docking stations. Rooms open to balconies. Each accommodation is individually decorated. Beds feature premium bedding. We had a beautiful room with a private pool. It was very big and comfortable. The pool and spa area was lovely and the food was excellent. It is in a quiet part of town, easy drive to everything, but not walkable. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Definitely recommend.

The service and staff are very pleasant and very accommodating. The breakfast is amazing - fresh and so many choices. Excellent coffee. The grounds are beautiful and relaxing. The room was well appointed and quiet. Only downside, sauna wasn't working.

worst honeymoon stay
This was our second night of honeymoon. We stayed at another 5 star hotel on our first night and there really is no comparison. There was no honeymoon feel. We had the worst experience staying at this hotel. It is definitely not 5 star as advertised. The hotel is understaffed. We had to carry our own luggage, yet other guests were offered this service. Took ages to get service at the bar. Wifi didn’t work in the rooms. Property not as good as the pictures. Very disappointed won’t recommend and won’t stay here again.

Not sure I would recommend it
Nice place but in need of serious refurbishment. The room is in need of serious repainting and replacement of curtains and upholster of lamps, bed and wall papaer. The place is more of a complex of flats reviewed as hotel but it has not a luxury feeling. The dining room feels as they just thrown chairs and tables and there is a lack of personality

Lovely place in quiet, residential area, great spa facilities. Very attentive and helpful staff. The only thing I would have changed is the wooden floor in the showers - it smells as it’s probably rotten underneath- but this in no way hindered our very relaxing stay.

We LOVED this hotel! The place itself is beautifully designed, the staff were very friendly and helpful (they arranged a great wine tour for us last minute) and the breakfast was amazing (the best part!). Will stay again if we’re ever back in Stellenbosch.
