All the staff at this hotel are so friendly and helpful. It is very well positioned at the waterfront and it is an easy walk to the cruise terminal. A great breakfast. Do stay here if you are looking for a hotel in this area. It is certainly a hotel With character.

Radisson Red usually get poor reviews. This was our first stay and we really enjoyed it. We did not "upgrade" our room and it was a good size with plenty of closet space and places to put our luggage... granted one suitcase was on the table, but there was plenty of space on the table. Bed was excellent. The only minor downside was the HVAC was inconsistent, but not uncomfortable. Breakfast was exceptional. AND the staff was the most accommodating and friendly I've ever encountered. Other Radisson Red's may not be great, but this one is.

We had to wait until 3 pm. Although I understand the policy, the fact that this was a VIP Hotel should have given a few minutes of extra time. We ended receiving a disability room and the the last room left. No shower curtain. We were supposed to receive a bottle of wine, but we had to end up asking for it in the evening in reception and taking it ourselves.

Convenient for V&A
We had a room on the top floor with a great view of the mountains and the waterfront. The room was big and had a dining table. Bed was comfortable, shower was big. Very convenient for checking out V&A waterfront and catching the ferry to Robben island. Parking is not included but is cheap. Room service menu is good and the staff at the front desk are very accommodating. Overall a very good stay and would stay again.

Wonderful hotel
We had an amazing stay in Cape Town! The hotel greeted us with big smiles and treats and that service continued from the early breakfast hour of 6am through til the midnight hours. The room was fabulous with our son soaking up his limited downtime plugged in to the tv in his bunk bed; the two beds come with their own television and the sound only works through headphones (!) much to the delight of us parents. There was also a nice table with chairs instead of a desk, allowing for us to have snacks and do family games rather than sitting on the bed. Overall, we just loved the place and would recommend it to any family traveling to Cape Town!
