The buildings overall appearance inside and out needs updating...our room resembled a prison cell with a terrible view the nets in the window were ripped the headboard was broken the walls had big cracks and patches and bathroom had mould on mirror around the window not the experience i had imagined staying here as this place was always highly regarded

Fantastic located hotel with value for money also.
Great situation for Sports venues, pubs & restaurants. Lovely old style hotel & very comfortable bed resulting in a brilliant sleep. As suggested to manager a large shower mat should be provided as bath seemed really slippery & I was very wary getting in & out due to a bad ankle. Lighting was also quite poor over this area although Shower itself was beautiful & hot. Breakfast was delicious & hot also. If resolved the shower points it's 10/10 every time.

The hotel is extremely old and in need of significant renovation, as the condition of the rooms, the exterior of the building, and the corridors is outdated. It smells of age and dampness. However, the staff is very pleasant and welcoming. Our room had a view of Cardiff Castle, and considering the price and location, the cost is justified.

Everything was amazing the rooms the service available and just the overall atmosphere nobody judged anyone professionalism was at its peek i enjoyed saying hi to the man behind the front desk every time i walked in and out unfortunately can't remember his name but he very much made me feel welcome only had to complain about my neighbours due to lots of shouting and banging but otherwise i absolutely loved it
