Hotel Torre del Reloj overlooks Plaza Coches and is perfectly located in the old city. 5 minute walk to Bodeguita, where boat tours depart from, 8 minutes to some very nice restaurants in Getsmani and the food truck park on the harbor. It has a fantastic roof terrace bar with great latin music videos. Several ATM's close by. Piccolo's pizza next door....if you like pizza their pizza will knock you out. A little further along in the arcade is a Colombian snack bar with cheap and very tasty empanadas.
Included breakfast was standard fare, no complaints there. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a shower head that was half working, told them in the morning, there was a new one installed when we came back at the end of the day. Dropped off some dirty shirts in the morning, they hanging in our room in the afternoon, and for a very reasonable price. WiFi was good, strong signal. Airco mini splits in the rooms was tip top, which you really appreciate in Cartagena's heat.
The only drawback for some is that it's noisy at night. The square and surrounding streets are full of people until late at night, and some music from the roof terrace filters down to the rooms. Didn't bother me at all, but I could see that some difficult sleepers would find it a problem.
All in all we had a great week there, and would recommend staying there if going to Cartagena for the first time.
