The hotel is well situated across the river and near to the old town. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The in-room air conditioner worked well and was not too noisy. For those who need an elevator, it worked well. The breakfast was hearty and tasty and the service was very good. The grounds are landscaped and quite pleasant.
I think I will stay here again, but there are some drawbacks.
• The walls are thick, so you do not hear anything the adjacent room, but I was on the 3rd floor, and whoever had the room above me did a lot of walking around. I heard every footstep.
• The door lock was fine, but the deadbolt lock did not. I left the bathroom door open in case any of the staff were to enter unexpectedly, but this was never a problem.
• The door to the cabinet that houses the in-room coffee maker came off its hinges and was on the floor leaning on the cabinet. I stayed 4 nights, and it was never repaired. I did not report it, as I thought housekeeping would be on top of this. Apparently not.
• There are several power outlets around the room, but there is only one plug per outlet. If you want to work at the desk, you must choose between the lamp and power for your laptop. (at checkout, I was told there are business rooms available with better access)
• The Wi-Fi worked fine, but you can only connect one device at a time. (I did not think to ask for a separate pass code.)
