When you read the reviews that are glowing, you hope they are true! Well, I can assure you, this is a great hotel! The first thing was the greeting upon my arrival! Fantastic. This is not a chain hotel. So, you are personally greeted and welcomed! Then, you're taken to your room (not just told what floor your room is on, and off you go. Nope!). The room is huge. Clean. No, spotless! Large fridge in the room. Kettle. But no coffee. Coffee is free downstairs, though. The pool is very nice. The hotel doesn't have a restaurant, but everything is within walking distance. If you're ok with a km or two of walking to see some great sites. The Lotus Fred's Mart is about 1.2 km away. Small, but you can get your cereal and milk or snacks, then put stuff that needs refrigeration in your fridge! All rooms have a view of the pool area. I arrived at night. The next morning, when I left my room, there were the Hugh mountains in the distance.
One thing I will mention that I did not realize about booking two weeks IN Chiang Mai is that most of the major advertised things to see and do are NOT in Chiang Mia. Most are an hour to two hours away. You typically won't get back to your room until 7 or 8 pm. after starting your day at 7 am. on a bus or in a van. So, had i know, I would have booked maybe three days in Chiang Mai to see things (try to hit the weekend for the Sunday Night Market! Huge). Then, I would have ventured off to these other locations and stayed there for a couple of days at e
