You get what you pay for. The parking lot is dimly/barely lit in a sketchy area of town. There were people trolling the parking lot. I was approached by a creepy man who hit on me while I was unloading my suitcase. There was no security guard, and I didn’t see cameras anywhere. It was scary. The property is in poor condition. Once inside my room, the door lock was broken, and the fold over slide lock did not clamp down all the way. The room was clean but the furniture and fixtures have seen better days. Everything was run down. Instead of removing the old AC/heater unit, they just put a new one on top of it. It emitted a strange smell, and the worst part, the A/C WOULD NOT SHUT OFF no matter how I adjusted it! I ended up sleeping in my coat and a sweater over my pajamas. I could hear everything inside and outside the building. In the morning, the shower water barely reached Luke warm temperature and ran cold after a few minutes. What kind of motel/hotel doesn’t have hot water? The outlet in the bathroom wasn’t working, so I had to style my hair in a small mirror I brought with me in the kitchen area. Lastly, the iron didn’t work, and I needed to touch up my suit for a business conference. Even though I booked a three night stay, my colleague (who had an equally miserable experience) and I booked a different (actual) hotel and just ate the cost of it. We couldn’t stay here another night. The one redeeming quality was their very friendly staff who work very hard.
