Over the 3 years of traveling I have never seen anything like this. Receptionist at desk does not take his work seriously or hates his job. I get to my room.I get a big wave of stench. I find dirty towels in the shower that look dried up and crusty hanging above shower curtain. There is pubic hair on them. I find pubic hair in the shower. I continue looking at the room. There is sticky like spots on the carpet. I turn on the bedroom lights & see white specks on the wall. I look closer and it looks like dried up ejaculation. I inspect the bed to see if that’s even clean. There are yellow stains on the bed. I’m horrified. Genuinely. The amount of body fluids is law suit unsanitary. I go back down to the “Check-In” to request a new room. The man tells me “No, that’s all I have”. Doesn’t ask why or if something is wrong with it. I decide to check out for a refund. I took pictures & send it to my booking agency that handles my stays. I tell them about the situation. They are out of words. They try to reach out to the hotel for my refund and the man at the front is uncooperative. They let me know they can’t reach the hotel. I ask the man if the phone has rang because they are trying to get a hold of him. He tells me “Not recently”. He tells me he wouldn’t talk to them either way to approve a refund since he isn’t the manager. That’s fine. What bothered me is that he lowered the front phone volume & lied about it. The unprofessional atmosphere is not traveler friendly.

This place is under construction and probably should not yet be open. I had to change rooms the first due to the room being dirty and appliances broken. No hot water in the bathroom sinks whatsoever. When things were brought to their attention they were somewhat disconcerted

Hotel is undergoing updates. Sign on outside still says Comfort Suites. Lots of work happening, but we didn’t have any noise in our room. Smell of pot in hallway of the 4th floor. Our bed, linens and pillows were extremely comfortable. I think they may have been all new. The location was good for our need to be close to Arlington Heights.

Partially renovated = inconsistent experience
As of 7/31/24 this hotel is under renovation. If this had been disclosed at the time of booking, then I would have not stayed here. The staff seemed stressed and irritable because the computer system kept going down, so they didn't know exactly which rooms were available. The power went out briefly while we were using the fitness center, however that was fixed pretty quickly. The room we were assigned at check in was occupied by a construction/ maintenance worker sitting on the bed watching TV. The owner/manager apologized and assured us that he was in there to fix a broken safe, hmm. We were assigned a different room. The room was clean and as expected. The beds and bedding were very comfortable. The bathroom seemed partially renovated, as the shower head did not match the rest of the fixtures and the cleanliness of the shower head was questionable. The towels were the scratchy, small, low quality ones that you'd typically find at a budget hotel. The soap and shampoo provided were also low quality. The lobby and dining area were nicely decorated. Again, though, they provided Styrofoam cups and plates which made the overall quality of the experience low. Hopefully, part of the renovation process will include a step up in the quality of products this hotel offers to their guests.

Front desk person was rude and hotel is under construction and I have asthma which was getting irritated. Bathroom leaves a lot to be desired - no toiletries, no TP holder so it just stacked on the toilet lid. Main part of hotel room was perfect. Good AC, very quiet and comfortable beds.
