Attractions and Hotels Near Chugo-ri

If you still have itchy feet, why not broaden your travels and see more of the North Jeolla region? Don't even think of going home without stopping at a few of the region's amazing coastal plains. Old towns, fortresses and cathedrals are also worth a look around. Those with a serious appetite for adventure can also fill their days with a little snowboarding and skiing in this corner of South Korea.

Looking for more to do? Spend a few hours enjoying the Namwon Recreational Forest and the Namwon National Gugak Center. You'll find them in Namwon, 45 kilometres to the south of Chugo-ri. If you want to stay in Namwon, consider the Chunwangbong Pension and The Suites Hotel Namwon. 45 kilometres to the west of Chugo-ri you'll also find Jeonju, home to the Jeonju Tourist Hotel and Benikea Jeonju Hansung Tourist Hotel. If you stay in Jeonju, make sure you visit the Jeonju Zoo and the Sori Arts Center of Jeolla.

Daegu is situated 85 kilometres away from Chugo-ri and has a population of 2,600,000. When you're in the region, you'd be mad if you didn't have a squiz at the Daegu Yangnyeongsi Museum of Oriental Medicine, Apsan Park and Dongsan Bowling Center. Got another day on your hands? See what's going on at the Daegu Cultural and Arts Hall History of Soil Hall and E-World. There are a number of great hotels where you can snap up a room for a night or two in Daegu. Have a squiz at the facilities at the Hotel Inter Burgo and Grand Hotel.

Rid yourself of the jet lag with a steaming hot shower at the Western Hotel. It's within an easy commute of Gunsan Airport (90 kilometres from central Chugo-ri), so you'll be feeling back to normal in no time at all!

It was extremely dirty everywhere except for the room which was ok. Barely adequate. The bar/kitchen area looked completely abandoned as though some disaster had hit the place and everyone had run away. The basement area, where we eventually found out we had to make breakfast with mouldy bread was disgusting. There was a large dead cockroach in the sink and the walls were crumbling. We’re not fussy people but this was really bad and we left after one night. The only communication we had was through Instagram with the manager. Not a common thing for people in their 60’s. The photos are from many years ago and the promises in the text are just not available. In summary, one to avoid..
