Some aircons weren’t working. Central hotel.
This a basic hotel and the pictures depicting the colourful rooms are the communal areas which I did not use. I luckily had aircon. Many others in hotel including my travelling companion did not (it was broken) and was far too hot for 4 days until he got to change a room. Didn’t appear to be room service, same sheets and towels for 8 days. Functional room, good location near bars, cafes and restaurants and about a 20 min walk or 5 minute scoot to the cathedral, aldstadt and the Rhine. Didn’t use breakfast which was £12 PP a day. Had a similar issue to a previous review where I arrived after hours, and only on checking my emails found cryptic instructions to get my keys? Involving leaving the hotel and going to the rear carpark using the codes given in the email. Basic stay. A little overpriced for what you got, although the euros were on I booked this many months ago.

Good location but very hard to access the property after hours, felt like an escape room game just to check in! Room was far too hot and the lock didn’t seem to work properly - didn’t sleep at all

Little hotel in great location
Perfect location - full of nice places to eat in the Belgian quarter just across the road or along the streets full of shops towards the city centre. Simple rooms but super clean, with a comfy lounge to read next to the breakfast room. Staff were very nice but could perhaps be more helpful with local recommendations or general advice. It is a good option overall, albeit on the pricey side for what you get.

GOOD HOTEL AT AFFORDABLE RATE
AN UNIMPRESSIVE HOTEL WHEN YOU LOOK AT THE WEBSITE. BUT IT IS AN EXTREMELY GOOD HOTEL IN A EXCELLENT LOCATION. VERY NEAR TO THE UNDERGROUND TRAIN STATION, AND MANY RESTAURANTS AROUND THE VICINITY. THE SERVICES STAFF ARE EXTREMELY WELCOMING. WE STAYED FOR A NIGHT AND DEPOSIT OUR LUGGAGE THERE AS WE WERE RETURNING TO THE SAME HOTEL AFTER ONE NIGHT IN BRUSSELS. THE SERVICES STAFF WERE SO KIND TO PUT US BACK TO THE SAME ROOM AND TRANSFERRED OUR LUGGAGE TO THE ROOM WHEN WE CHECK IN AGAIN. BREAKFAST IS GREAT AND WAS OFFERED SPECIAL HAM TO OUR TABLE. WIDE VARIETY WITH HOMEMADE CAKES AND PIES. ENJOYED OUR 2 NIGHTS IN THE HOTEL. THANK YOU FOR THE GOOD STAY.

A bit threadbare and grubby, this hotel has seen better days. Room was very small and bed was tiny. Staff were friendly but not accommodating. No airconditioning. Breakfast was edible. Location is a thriving entertainment and shopping area not far from the historic centre. Very young late at night. Generally seemed overpriced as Koeln does generally.

Central hotel near the nightlife and great value!
The hotel is on the Ring near Rudolfplatz and consequently well placed for restaurants and bars and the like.I had a single room which was perfectly adequate, spotlessly clean and being on the third floor far enough from the noise of the street below, which to be honest wasn't too bad anyway. The hotel dining room is a bit dated in a 1960s kind of way, but well done and very clean. The staff are lovely and eager to provide a good service. I would use this hotel again for another weekend away as it ticks all the boxes, represents fantastic value for money and there are no obvious drawbacks.

Great location needs updating
The hotel is on a really good street. Loads of restaurants and bars but the room was nice and quiet. The staff were helpful and polite. The decor is pretty dated, there were bits of my room that needed painting. Breakfast was a bit uninspiring but good enough. The hotel is fine if you just need somewhere to lay your head and don't plan on speding much time there.

A bit out of the way
Nice place, clean and friendly. Huge breakfast selection. It is a 20 minute walk from old town and cathedral, but the route is along an interesting pedestrian friendly shopping street.
